Google Pixel Tablet

I actually don't mind the product and would happily buy one to give myself a good home hub central point in the kitchen, but not at that absurd price, I have no idea who would buy one of these in the UK at £600, you'd have to be bonkers.

Pixel tablet 2 rumoured for next month.

Hopefully it has added all the missing features and functionality from the first iteration.

Smarter dock at the very very least.

I'll be looking carefully at this new version

Definitely hoping for a surprise announcement of a Pixel Tablet 2/Pro on Tuesday.
Well that didn’t happen… lol

So I ended up picking up the Porcelain version a couple of weeks ago.

As someone who loves the Pixel line but accepts that he has to live in an iPhone world, this is the sweet spot for me. All the apps I use on my iPad can be found on the Play Store which is why I went this route for my next tablet.

Hub mode is great and have now moved our Nest Hub Max back into the Kitchen and the Tablet now has pride of place in the living room.

Took it away with me for a trip to Spain last week and the fact that I have WhatsApp on there as a companion app meant I didn't need my phone on but could still receive messages. Tremendous stuff.

I see the price with dock has dropped for the time being £399 for top model and dock... I don't know what current views on this are though... I love my pixel phones so I'm interested...

It was horribly under-specced and overpriced when it came out - if they'd sold it at this price 2 years ago it might have been a better proposition but there's far better tablets that are still cheaper than this. I love my pixel phone too and really wanted this to be good but, sadly, it's a dud.

I think I needed to hear this... I'd love it, but it would be an impulse and therefore buyers remorse is a real possibility

Think I'm in the same situation. I like the look of the tablet and the magnetic speaker dock; can't help but feel the price is a bit too high for what it is. Maybe when (if) I move house I can get one, or a newer model, and use it for house stuff.

I'm glad I didn't pay full whack for it as I agree it's not that great, but... it's actually not a bad tablet for what I use it for. I'm not a power user, and I use it as basically a larger version of a phone. For the plane, and travel it's nice, but it's not a tool I use for productivity, in fact I don't find tablets all that useful for productivity, I'm too entrenched in using a PC or Laptop.

£399 considered too much?.

I think it is - Ive been talked out of a costly impulse buy... The money actually needs to go towards a new laptop for my son..
