No-one seems to know what's coming up. Is it a full fledged piece of hardware to rival Xbox and PlayStation? Is it a simple HDMI stick device based around Chrome that will stream games across the internet similar to the Assassin's Creed Odyssey test a few months ago? All will be revealed in three days time.

Both Ubisoft and Bethesda (Doom) are going to be guests of Google at the keynote.

If the streaming service has the new releases available on launch day, I could see it being better than renting discs from Boomerang. You can either get your moneys worth in 30 days or if you want to keep playing, buy the game elsewhere on the platform of your choice if you prefer to keep it.

PSNow hasn't been a rip roaring success.

It's just launched in some new countries which will help things but what Sony needs to do is put their first party games on it - released day and date just as Microsoft are doing. If that happened, I'd be all over it like a fly on dung and probably even ditch my PS4 Pro and use PS Now via PC.

Well you can forget the talk about physical hardware. It is all streaming. I don't know if anyone is watching but I rather liked the way the demo guy seamlessly switched between tablet/phone/laptop/TV and continued the game from the exact same point each time.

Are you calling me difficult? You're not wrong :p

Input lag is a massively different issue to ping in an online game though. Have you tried steam streaming?

No, I haven't tried any form of game streaming yet. They are making this sound too good to be true though. I particularly like the idea of scalable units so the developers can in theory have unlimited power to showcase their games.

What do you think will happen with regards to PC games? If games coming on Stadia are running on a combo of Linux/Vulkan, will this make AAA titles a day and date release on Linux for everybody? And will the Windows version be using Vulkan instead of/or in addition to DirectX?

How do they work out how much processing power they need. They're claiming something like 10tflops, ps4 pro is 4.
But how does that divide up between people playing the games.
Might be fine if 10,000 are playing at the same time but what happens if more people logon and start playing. How does that work.

It's just a circuitboard in a rack. One CPU/GPU "Stadia" 10.7TFlops instant per person. If they run out of capacity at any time, I guess you'll be put in a queue and told to wait until an instant becomes available.

Yeah, I didn't detect any lag at all whilst playing PlayStation Now recently and I'm average Joe, not a lag specialist like Kreeeee. :p So the general public will think it's fine, I'm sure. The only thing was macroblocks due to bad compression. I expect Google Stadia to be even better in that regard.

Some news can't wait for E3. Watch our first ever Stadia Connect June 6, 2019 at 9AM PDT/5PM UK/6PM CET as we reveal more Stadia news, including pricing, games, and launch details.

So it seems like some stuff has leaked already -

* Launches in November
* You will need to buy a Chromecast Ultra dongle to use the service this year
* Google Chrome support comes in 2020
* There is a monthly sub of £10 that will give you access to a selection of "older" games
* The free sub (coming later) will allow you to stream the games you've bought but only up to 1080p (you need to pay extra for 4K)
* 31 games to start with

I'll update the OP with the correct information after the broadcast later today.
