** GORGEOUS NEW LG 4K MONITOR - LG 27GN950-B PRE-ORDER NOW **

Yeah that’s weird. I would turn local dimming off probably and also smart energy saver. Could be one of those causing it. Apart from that have you updated to new firmware using OnScreen software?
Yep, turned off local dimming earlier and haven't seen the anomaly in the last few hours. Will check out the firmware too just in case local dimming isn't the culprit - I didn't realise you needed the OnScreen software to get that... presumed it was a bit of bloatware so ignored it, oops.

Thanks again ;)

Haven't seen the firmware update since TFTCentral announced it, was supposed to be for this week.

Plus, when I download the OnScreen Control software from LG (necessary to update firmware it seems), LG site tells me it's v5.71 but it downloads a v5.30 version of it. Don't know if it's a bug.

Pretty sure it’s available now. I’ve had reports from users saying it is. What ver does it show in OnScreen software when you check?

Stupidly enough you have to manually download the updated software yourself as the old one dont update....

Where can we find the updated bios ? Haven’t found it on the support page of LG site

Edit : ok found it on REDDIT we have to find the correct LG support page where there is the 5.71 ONSCREEN version available (on many sites it says 5.71 but it makes you actually download the 5.30 one instead)

well yeah. its 4k. its quite noticeable.

you also remember that win10 resolution scaling is something... well.. special :/
Haha that it is (the scaling being special that is - I can't comment on the jump from 1440 as I went from 2560x1080 to 4K TN and then to this).

Speaking of scaling; am I the only one who runs 4K 100%? I mean it's why I got 4K; so I get an effective x4 1080 screens right in front of me :D

100% scaling on 27 inch is terrible for reading text.

24 inch - 1080p
27 inch - 1440p
32 inch - 2160p

This is how it should be, but alas no good 32 inch 4k monitor yet.

Plot update: I think it may have been local dimming playing tricks - bit soon to say for sure though.

Buuut... also installed OnScreen software in order to update firmware as suggested and since then am seeing some other issues. Mainly playing Valorant and Gears 5 at the moment. Valorant requires Riot's Vanguard anti-cheat but when playing Gears the game is crazy jumpy and stuttery, if it runs or otherwise crashes out and I get an error from "Easy Anti-Cheat" telling me that "ScreenSplittlerHook641.dll" is untrusted which I'm about to investigate but am willing to bet is part of OnScreen. So that's nifty - Vanguard sees LG's software as cheat software... and I'm not even playing Valorant!

Am I alone in these experiences?

Screen splitter is part of that software. Just uninstall it again I would and install it again later on when they have a newer version or if you ever want to update the firmware :)

Sorry if this has been asked recently but this an update on when this monitor is expected to be in stock? And is it likely I will be able to get one if I place a pre-order or is it more likely the number of pre-orders exceed the expected arriving stock?

edit: Well I've just seen the replies on the previous pages, may as well get an order in
