** GORGEOUS NEW LG 4K MONITOR - LG 27GN950-B PRE-ORDER NOW **

75 minutes. I will escalate this to some ombudsman. I do not believe the practices I have experienced are acceptable (take pre-orders then false stock date promises to induce customers not to cancel and purchase elsewhere, advertised phone numbers which are not answered).

as I said it will be a nightmare.
if it wasn't for other users and a couple people I know who have previously used,
id be truly thinking that it is a con site robbing peoples money with the service I've received, tried phoning like you so many times over hour each time to which it then just cuts off. i will get my credit card to chase it and tell them I haven't received the goods.

In case anyone is following, I have received my refund notification. Thank you OC.

Glad to hear it, it was driving you nuts. It’s definitely not a con site I’ve used them several times before without issue. I don’t think they deliberately lied about the stock status either.

In fairness to OC I have ordered from them quite a bit over many years and for in stock items I have never had any issue with next day delivery. Things have just been mad though with the whole Nvidia 30xx, AMD 5xxx and now these LG monitors. OCUK came through for both my Nvidia 3090 and ADM 5050x having ordered on release day and waited patiently. However I to jumped ship with my LG 27GN950 order having found it elsewhere over the weekend and its being delivered today. There may or may not have been a chance I would get the OCUK order this week as they said they may be able to fulfil pre-orders up to the 11th Nov which is when I ordered. But it was too much of a risk to stick with OCUK and maybe not get it till next year. Now trying to wait for my refund request to be acknowledged. Sent a forum and web-note, no reply yet. So in short I think OCUK are trying somewhat its just everything is mental right now with availability and shipping.

I did, yep. I figured I must have got lucky and they received more stock than they initially anticipated (either that or I'm going to get a very nasty surprise when nothing turns up this week :()

Probably got more stock than anticipated either that or they’ve had loads of cancellations.

Just received my shipping confirmation, super hyped to receive the monitor! And never had a problem with OC in the fourteen years I've been buying stuff from them, always my first port of call when it comes to pc bits \o/

So you ordered 3rd December and got a delivery confirmation today?

Thats strange, I pre ordered on the 11th Nov and you got shipping notification before I submitted my cancelation a few hours ago. or are you talking about another supplier?

How quick dod you get confirmation of cancelation? I raised a forum request last night and a web note at 8am this morning. No reply to either yet

Guys this forum section is not for talking about shop matters. Please contact them via web note or the specific customer services section of the forum if you want support or help with an order, cancellation or anything else (and no, I don’t work for the shop)

Received my monitor today having cancelled OCUK order yesterday and sourcing elsewhere.

This is my 3rd attempt at getting a quality unit (2 previous ones RMAd). Please to say that so far this unit is defect free and has minimal to zero IPS glow as a bonus. HDR is almost useable as well which I am surprised with as the other 2 units were to ‘glowy’ when it was turned on. I have updated the firmware and got the OC option but the supplied cable seems to struggle with it - had a spare 8k DP cable which supports up to 240hz and that works problem free. Wow Doom Eternal (HDR) 4K at 160hz looks awesome!!! Enjoy your monitors folks!! Deffo worth the wait....

I've just tried this with Battlefield 4, if I ALT-TAB out I can go to any other running programs in the background and ALT-TAB back into Battlefield 4 full screen no problem. Also tried with Rising Storm 2 Vietnam with the same result.
After some testing over the weekend it seemed that this is caused by enabling the overclock in the monitor settings. Since disabling the overclock I no longer get DisplayPort handshake errors.

Additional testing also revealed that enabling the overclock ment I could only run 3 monitors. NVIDIA Control Panel and Windows Display Settings could see that I had a 4th monitor but wouldn't allow me to use it. Again disabling the overclock ment I could run all 4 monitors.

Not too bothered about disabling the overclock, I doubt anyone can actually tell the difference between 144Hz and 160Hz.

Have you tried another cable ? The supplied DP cable doesn’t seem capable of supporting 160hz

Doubt its possible, but lets ask - did anyone have any luck with persisting settings for the fan speed in the Service Menu of 27gn950? It seems that some settings like DEF. APD persist between reboots, but the fan speed (FAN Target Duty) just resets back to 45 :/

It seems that the default speed is just above background noise in a silent room. Kinda kills the point of having a silent PC.
