** GORGEOUS NEW LG 4K MONITOR - LG 27GN950-B PRE-ORDER NOW **

I can confirm that the Club 3D CAC-2868 works flawlessly. Basically just get a cable which advertises 8K 60 if you want to OC to 160Hz. No DP handshake errors for me, love the monitor.

Where can I get the firmware to OC to 160 and how do you install it?

If you install the latest version of OnScreen Control, make sure your monitor is plugged in to PC via USB, the update will pop up and you can just click go - takes about 25mins. If it doesn't automatically popup click on 'monitor settings' on the left and then there is an option about a 3rd way down the screen 'monitor software update'.

Could someone who got the monitor try to downscale res to 1440p in game and check how good does it scale? TFT Central says it does it pretty good, but I find it hard to believe.

Club3D VESA certified CAC-2868 is the one I have from the rainforest - works flawlessly.
Just got this cable from the rainforest, initial testing so far seems good I've not been getting DP handshake failures.

However it seems like turning on the OC still prevents me from running 4 monitors, which is fine for me as I don't typically use a 4 monitor setup.

Hi guys! Could you please tell me what is it like to game on this monitor in 1080p? Is it too blurry? I'm considering buying it, but I have gtx 1060 6gb and I won't be able to play in 4k/1440p. I'll have to lower the resolution until I get a new graphic card sometime next year. I only play single player AAA games like RDR2, Valhalla etc. if that piece of information is important. And the same question for watching TV shows in 1080p because I watch movies and TV shows only on my monitor, is the image clear? :)

Thank you! Movie looks great, not blurry at all. And I suppose that the IPS glow/bleeding is exaggerated because of the camera? I currently have 23 inch LG AH-IPS monitor and it practically has no glow/bleed and black is black, I hope when I get a new one it will also be a perfect unit. :)

So, thought I'd let Windows do its pesky update thing last night. Monitor turned black when PC restarted... presumed it was an update issue and that the PC was the problem - flipped the switch at the wall with a view to tackling in the morning after a nice cold boot. This morning, after the better part of an hour troubleshooting it turned out the monitor had just decided to crap out! OSD was working but wasn't giving any other warnings or obvious signs of issue other than just a black screen and it only started working again after pulling the plug on the monitor!

Seriously miffed! My old LG ultrawide exhibited the same behaviour and for the longest time I thought it was the PC playing up. Has anyone else experienced the same and is there a cure? I'm not particularly overjoyed at the idea of 'reaching around' to unplug the blasted thing routinely esp at this price point.

Sounds like the DisplayPort handshake problems I was having. I was also having to unplug the monitor constantly when switching tabs while playing a game in fullscreen mode, swapping between HDMI and DP input or simply when I would turn my pc on. Are you connecting the monitor to your PC via DisplayPort? Have you enabled the refresh rate OC?

If your answer is yes to the above, then its probably the DP cable. The supplied DP cable doesn't seem capable of handling 160Hz refresh rate. You need a DP cable that can send 8k 60Hz signal, one of which is discussed a couple replies up.
