** GORGEOUS NEW LG 4K MONITOR - LG 27GN950-B PRE-ORDER NOW **

Sorry Don must have confused your username somewhere along the line. Well the Ddp app seemed very slow in updating between depots. It literally said on route to hinkley then updated to say its in crediton and out for delivery all at once. Hopefully its just something like that and not damaged again.

Will open up the box and check contents on arrival and report back if theres anything goofy like non uk power socket. Unsure if will have the time to set it up and report back on anything else though. Sats a crappy admin day unfortunately.
No worrys buddy

Yeah let me know how you get on

I'm so confused right now

Your Saturday delivery upgrade did go through after all? Or maybe like lemmingzappa it was going to be delivered today anyway without the upgrade.

It will be interesting to see if you all have yours in the next couple of hours.

Just got the nipper to sleep so gonna start now gonna have to re do my cable management too :( next 10 mins is gonna consist of cutting off cable ties

Got a fresh pack ready so soon as it turns up im good to go.. as for the haribos my older 2 kids would just steal them anyway lmao

Ha well i hope its not a too frustrating endeavour. Hope the monitor turns out all fine and dandy. Will check back later and see how everyones got on with it. Might save me some headaches for when i set mine up

27".... *sigh*
PLEASE give us 32"-38", 4K, 120Hz+, 16:9, non-curved.

Yeap, I don't get why the fuss about this.

4k at 27" is just not worth it imo. Need's 32" minimum to appreciate the extra detail and for UI elements in games to properly display.

Where are the 32"-40" monitors, IPS, HDR1000, 144Hz with HDMI 2.1? Why are OLEDS the only real option for a larger 4k screen with all the features people want?

And your allowed your opinion but each to there own I suppose

Don't get me wrong I would prefer 32" but I also have limited desk space too

I have been gaming on 4k 27"/28" for the past 6 years and I can tell the difference immediately between 4k and 1440 and this size im just glad to finally have HDR and 144hz finally without breaking the bank

Hdmi 2.1 I dont really care for as I'm not planning on running a next gen console off it

If I was gonna play console I'd use one of my 49" or 55" 4k tvs

And this is a IPS panel

Just received mine too! The stuff about 4k at 32" only is just nonsense when only taking into account resolution and size. It looks far sharper in all cases from my testing so far. No obvious back light bleed and even the IPS glow seems pretty low on my panel so far.

In terms of 4k only worth over 32" when performance is brought into the equation... That makes sense as motion clarity is just as important, however, 32" everything would look disgusting at lower resolutions... so by going bigger you're just making it so you require higher resolution, not really getting an improvement except size without a reduction in quality.

I for one, am pleased. :D Now how do i turn on the backlight to mimic the screen...

Download LG ultra gear control center from LG website and set it to video sync mode

Its not as good as my corsair LS100 but its close enough

I don’t suppose any of you who paid £ 5 extra for Saturday delivery are going to chase DPD for a refund. Technically you did get Saturday delivery so you can’t really complain. I bet you’re just happy to have your monitors.
