**GOT AN EVGA GRAPHICS RELATED QUESTION OR NEED SUPPORT - ASK HERE!!**

Hey Dom,
Ive got a faulty evga 480gtx here (code 47 - cannot start device) in my system. Havent got around to removing it and testing it another system etc yet as im damn lazy and can just turn off the PCI-E port on my mobo.

If I sent it in for RMA, what card am I likely to get back? It obviously wont be another 480, which means I can't put it back in my TRI-SLI, but I could probably use it in my front room PC (currently has a 470 in it).

Just curious what sort of thing to expect to know if its worth the effort :)

Hi,

this is always depending on actually stocks and can change, sometimes we can replace it sometimes it is needed to replace all three cards. If we need to replace all three cards it is also required that all three cards are still in warranty. In this case just send an email to [email protected] that you want to handle RMA and please do also mentioned it is a three way SLI and if you need to handle RMA with all three cards or only with this one.

Well, the other two are asus cards, the third one was bought on an EoL sale. So I wouldn't expect you to replace all of them ;)

but, the fact that you have said that you would even consider replacing all three cards for one being faulty, means that you have just won me over as a future customer for all my gpu needs.

Hey Dom, my 580 SC (part ref ending is AR) and it should be under a Limited Lifetime warranty which I believe to be 3 years? Trying to find the invoice now but would it still be under warranty / what is the oldest I could have bought it and it's still covered?

Also being UK based how long would I be looking at RMA turn around at if still in warranty? I play for Team UK BF4 8vs8 team and we have a few hard games that I'm needed for over the next couple of weeks :S

Hi, there is no generally answer on this, if you do not have the invoice anymore we do take a look at the date the card have left our warehouse, this is only for the first 2 years with AR P/N, after this we normally always require an invoice. In this case you can send an email to [email protected] with the S/N then they can tell you if there is a way to handle RMA with this card or not.

Yes, we can not replace ASUS cards :) In this case you can just handle normal RMA and set the checkbox for SLI system then we will have a look to replace it with the same model but if this is not possible at all we would replace it with a equal model...

Hi Overclockers,

we received a lot of feedback about our new GUI BIOS. Part of this was that lots of people do not know what most are the settings about so we created this guide that explain a little bit about the different settings. It is designed for the Dark X79 but will also work with most other boards that have the new interface.

Hey Dominik, I will be sending my 580 back for RMA today. It has been water cooled since purchase, do I have to reattach the air cooler to send it back? Some of the thermal pads need replacing to use the air cooler. I am of course willing to put it back together before shipping.

Yes, the card will need to have the aircooler installed again. In this case you can put a small note on the card that some themal pads are screwed, will save us some time with the internal process...

do you know about the advanced RMA? With this you have to pay a security collateral then we will send you a replacement and you have 30 days to get the old card back to us to get the collateral refunded... compared to a normal RMA there is no extra cost at the end and you do not need a temporary replacement.
Nice to hear you are satisfied with the products and service :D

Yes I do know about that, but I got a 680 at a really great price and I needed a card on Tuesday for a competitive match I was playing, otherwise I would have.

I paid £359.99 for my 580 and it has been fantastic value considering how much I play. It's never been over 55c (watercooling) and been rock solid until now. This card and I have been through a lot of great times over the past few years on CS:GO, L4D2 but mainly BF3 + BF4. It's packed and ready to go...but I don't wanna say goodbye to an old friend :(

If it is replaced, could you cut out the GPU die and send it to me? I'd love to mount the die / headspreader on my desk or wall. I'm not actually expecting you too do this..but still, it would be epic :D
