**GOT AN EVGA GRAPHICS RELATED QUESTION OR NEED SUPPORT - ASK HERE!!**

Hello Dominik,

I have a problem with one of my 780s.
It was watercooled and block somehow produced an airlock and card overheated.
Shortly after that I reverted to air cooling with stock cooler and card temps were ok, but it started artefacting and had some screen tearing issues, like short red horizontal lines all over the screen, followed by screen going black.
Could you please let me know what are my options now?
Can I return the card to EVGA for repair/replace?

Hello Bart,
this is no problem, you can just go for a RMA with EVGA... as long as the card did not get physically damaged during the built.
Have you already registered the card to your EVGA Account and requested an RMA though support?
 
Hi EVGA dom, I bought one of your fab cards!. the 780 non ti 3gb EVGA. I want to step up to the TI 6gb is that possible? I applied for step up got no email back ?. thanks

Hi, as long as the originally card is within the 90 days of purchase it will be no problem to request the 6GB Ti. Can you let me know what you have exactly applied to? The 6GB Ti is not listed so far...
 
I was wondering why my GTX 780 SC was getting very hot so I took off the cooler and found there are no thermal pads at all on either the memory or VRM's just the bare metal of the cooler.
Surely this can not be right for the cards now ? Previous 780's I owned had the pads. This is a B1 revision card.

It does seem this could be why the card is running very hot.

Any help would be appreciated.

You mentioned it is B1, did you purchase it as a second hand unit? Feel free to share this information to the tech support you are already in contact with...
 
I just installed my new 780gtx classy but it won't boot - it's stuck on a black screen with B2 on the bottom right. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi, if updating the motherboard BIOS will not help in this matter please drop an email to [email protected] with the model of graphics card and the model of the motherboard and requst a BIOS update for the card. If you are generally able to cross test the card easily in a different system I would suggest to try it to see if the card is working at all.

It was new from Amazon just over a week ago. I have just popped the cooler off another one which has the pads so it looks like they were missed at the factory somehow.

I have passed the info to the tech people.

Thanks for the update! I will investigate this but so far there is no other customer complaining about this. Can you let me know the number that is posted next to the evga logo above the PCI.E port? I can not see it on the picture.

It sounds like a one of to be fair. Card built last thing on a Friday :)

The number is - 12821854-0000812-69CWDA190A04 as far as I can make out as the writing is tiny.

Yes address confirmed this morning. Nothing about shipping pads just an email requesting my address details.

Edit - Just had an email confirming the pads will be shipped today.

Hi Dominik, any news on release dates for the 780 6Gb version in the UK? If we bought several 3Gb 780s now would we be able to step up to the 6Gb version later on?

Hi, we expect them to arrive in EU in about 2-3 weeks. You can just request the step up now, the only important thing is you request the step up within the first 90 days. It can then be possible that you receive the card a little bit later but it is saved that you can do the step up

Hi Bigmac, the Step Up is good for 90 days. If you have registered the card within the first 14 days it is for free. If this did not happen you need to purchase an extended warranty then you will get the step up feature. The extended warranty will then also transfer to the new product so it is not a waste of money. At eu.evga.com/stepup you will also see the card you can step up too because there is mostly only one model available of each chip

Hi Dom/anyone!

I did the 14 days thingy. But there was no option to go to a 780 TI from a classy 780 only a 6 GB 780 thus the question. Did i do something wring? or missed something

normally you can also go for the TI version 2881 but not the classi TI 2888.
At eu.evga.com you can see the models you can step up too, all models listed there should also show up in your list. If there is any issue stepping up to this model please send an email to [email protected] with this information, they will then take a look into it.
