Yes I do know about that, but I got a 680 at a really great price and I needed a card on Tuesday for a competitive match I was playing, otherwise I would have.
I paid £359.99 for my 580 and it has been fantastic value considering how much I play. It's never been over 55c (watercooling) and been rock solid until now. This card and I have been through a lot of great times over the past few years on CS:GO, L4D2 but mainly BF3 + BF4. It's packed and ready to go...but I don't wanna say goodbye to an old friend
If it is replaced, could you cut out the GPU die and send it to me? I'd love to mount the die / headspreader on my desk or wall. I'm not actually expecting you too do this..but still, it would be epic![]()
Hi Dominik, I know you are away until the 7th. I got my RMA notice back today telling me you are shipping a GTX670 to replace my GTX580. Not really happy, the 670 is a cheaper 2nd tier card where as my 580 was a top tier card that cost £359.99. I could understand you not having any 580's as replacement but surely a 680 would have been the direct replacement 1 generation newer.
I have always had the top tier EVGA card, I had the EVGA 480, 580 and will be purchasing an EVGA 880(?) when it comes out. Some people like SLi, I prefer the single fastest card money can buy.
If I had to send back a BMW M3, I wouldn't expect a standard 3 series back :/
^^^^ Ok, go use blender with a 670 having used a 580 for it for 3 years, the 670 isn't anywhere near as good as the 580 in these tasks, that is why I am annoyed,. Yes I get a faster card for gaming but a slower card for the CUDA and other rendering work I do.
It's closer if not ideal. The 680 / 670's are not so bad on other apps
Any ETA on 6GB cards?
Will you be doing a 6GB 780ti classified?
I just installed my new 780gtx classy but it won't boot - it's stuck on a black screen with B2 on the bottom right. Am I doing something wrong?
