Yes I do know about that, but I got a 680 at a really great price and I needed a card on Tuesday for a competitive match I was playing, otherwise I would have.

I paid £359.99 for my 580 and it has been fantastic value considering how much I play. It's never been over 55c (watercooling) and been rock solid until now. This card and I have been through a lot of great times over the past few years on CS:GO, L4D2 but mainly BF3 + BF4. It's packed and ready to go...but I don't wanna say goodbye to an old friend :(

If it is replaced, could you cut out the GPU die and send it to me? I'd love to mount the die / headspreader on my desk or wall. I'm not actually expecting you too do this..but still, it would be epic :D

I am afraid we can not offer this, depending on the damage of the card it might can get repaired and will make someone else happy :)
To make sure just send the box to my attention...
Can you drop me an email to [email protected] with OCUK580 as subject matter?

Hi Dominik, I know you are away until the 7th. I got my RMA notice back today telling me you are shipping a GTX670 to replace my GTX580. Not really happy, the 670 is a cheaper 2nd tier card where as my 580 was a top tier card that cost £359.99. I could understand you not having any 580's as replacement but surely a 680 would have been the direct replacement 1 generation newer.

I have always had the top tier EVGA card, I had the EVGA 480, 580 and will be purchasing an EVGA 880(?) when it comes out. Some people like SLi, I prefer the single fastest card money can buy.

If I had to send back a BMW M3, I wouldn't expect a standard 3 series back :/

Hello Dominik,

I have a problem with one of my 780s.
It was watercooled and block somehow produced an airlock and card overheated.
Shortly after that I reverted to air cooling with stock cooler and card temps were ok, but it started artefacting and had some screen tearing issues, like short red horizontal lines all over the screen, followed by screen going black.
Could you please let me know what are my options now?
Can I return the card to EVGA for repair/replace?

KR

Bart

Dude, they are sending you a faster card that's worth a lot more money, what are you expecting it's awesome customer service that few others would provide.

Could one of the Evga chaps confirm if a 780ti 6gb will be available for step up in the next 3 months? I'm eligible for the 780 6gb but would wait for the 780ti version.

^^^^ Ok, go use blender with a 670 having used a 580 for it for 3 years, the 670 isn't anywhere near as good as the 580 in these tasks, that is why I am annoyed,. Yes I get a faster card for gaming but a slower card for the CUDA and other rendering work I do.

If it's DP performance you are after then the 680 isn't for you either.

Any ETA on 6GB cards?

Will you be doing a 6GB 780ti classified?

I hear they are doing a 780Ti 6gb, but not until june. 780 6gb first. I was hoping this month? Lets hope it's not tons more money. It's only 6gb. Shouldn't be more then £30 to £40 more. Looking for the ref titan cooler.

Hi EVGA dom, I bought one of your fab cards!. the 780 non ti 3gb EVGA. I want to step up to the TI 6gb is that possible? I applied for step up got no email back ?. thanks

I was wondering why my GTX 780 SC was getting very hot so I took off the cooler and found there are no thermal pads at all on either the memory or VRM's just the bare metal of the cooler.
Surely this can not be right for the cards now ? Previous 780's I owned had the pads. This is a B1 revision card.

It does seem this could be why the card is running very hot.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers.

I just installed my new 780gtx classy but it won't boot - it's stuck on a black screen with B2 on the bottom right. Am I doing something wrong?

Have you tried updating your mother baord bios ? There might also be a GPU bios update available.

Hi JG,
sorry for the late replay, it tooked a little bit longer to return...
I can understand you point but we do always replace by performance, the price of the good do not matter for the replacement. Have you already received the replacement and have tested it? Here you can see a comparison of 670 and 580 http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-670-vs-GeForce-GTX-580 the 670 is at every point equal or better.
