No issues - other than the discomfort with the specs., so will go down the VR lens route at some point I think.
Spent a fair amount of time on various titles with no sign of technical problems (other than expected resolution issues).

To anyone getting one this week, keep an eye out for firmware updates for the controllers when you first use it.

I fear I may have some dead sub-pixels in the left screen. The two pixels are stuck on green so I presume the reds and blues are dead (if my understanding of AMOLED screens is correct).

Not sure I want to enter the second lottery of HTC Support.

Does anyone else have "stuck"/dead pixels? Or am I just over-sensitive?

I essentially have two tiny green dots in the centre of my vision in my left eye. I cannot imagine they could be anything other than dead sub-pixels. They are fine in light scenes but I can see them in dark scenes.

Not over sensitive. In VR they are basically geo stationary. And super obvious.

Be interested to see how you get on and whether you decide to RMA.

I'm pretty sure I will if I get any, especially if they are in the centre. For the price the QA should be at its best. This is inexcusable imho for the price and for the impact to immersion they have.

Yes, that sounds very much like dead pixels. I'm not sure on HTC policy for replacement with only two pixels though.

I have a crude photo of the dead pixels but it is not uploaded anywhere so I am struggling to post it here.

I contacted support by e-mail and so far I have just had an e-mail telling me to wipe the lenses, check the cables, make sure the base stations are stable and ensure no unnecessary software is running in the background.

Sadly there were no responses to my specific questions about dead pixels.
