I have now had some more sensible second line suggestions, none of which have worked.

I am waiting to hear what the next step is.

I should add that I think this may be a more widespread issue as I am fairly certain I have some other stuck/dead pixels at the periphery of my vision but the fresnel lenses act to blur them out. I imagine many Vive units may have such pixels but they are not noticeable unless they are near the centre of your vision.

Mine is due Monday. So we will see. I think it is incredibly wide spread. I will simply return mine and demand my 50 shipping which I had no choice on is refunded also.

Apparently the rifts are perfect so far in this regard.
 
Looks like a placed my vote too soon. I have a single stuck pixel on the left hand screen dead centre of my vision. I can see it clear as day on a black screen or a very dark scene.

Oh well, time to brave the crapshoot that is HTC support.

Damn. Too many. Im hoping they have shipped my economy so I can claim money back.

If there is a problem with mine I'll just return and buy the next gen or in a few months if I hear QC is better.

I have a little OCD...
 
Chat was apparently the best way lol. Tweet them? Daniel O'Brian I think his name is. Say your shipping defective units..that'll get quick and likely helpful response.
 
Well excited. Shame I gotta work, but come 7:30 when the lad is in bed it's an all nighter for me...

Hopefully everything will work. Bit worried as I'm on insider previews and its just updated! Got the slow shutdown bug back too.
 
Managed to get on chat with HTC. They want the serial number from every bloody device in the pack before they would talk to me. Said they can't get it from my order number.
Oh well, at work now so will try again tomorrow.

Sadley this will no be the first think I do. Note all serial numbers and log them in lastpass.
 
OK I've got probably 2 obvious stuck green pixels and 1 less noticeable all on the right screen quite central.

I can only see them on dark backgrounds...and only when I focus quite close to me. What to do?
