GPU Hardware Survey - What Are You Running and Why?

Resolution : 1440p
GPU/GPUs : 980
Because : Bought a 8x/8x mobo with the intention of SLI 970s, which I changed my mind on due to the 3.5GB thing, so returned my initial 970 and got a 980, with a view to get another later. I am also limited by a 750w PSU.

Resolution : 1080p
GPU/GPUs : 3Gb 7970 Ghz Ed.
Because : Was super cheap (sub £190 with a load of promotional games) just when AMD was just on the verge of releasing the 280 rebrands
Extras: Just about fast enough in pCARS and new games at 1080p. Considering an upgrade, possibly to a larger rez monitor too, but waiting on the new AMD Fury cards to be released first (not because Ill buy one, but more so the market settles price wise)

Resolution : 1920x1200
GPU/GPUs : EVGA GTX780 FTW
Because : Cards are too ridiculously priced these days to keep upgrading and this has managed with everything I have thrown at it anyway.
Extras: Will upgrade when GTX 980's hit lower prices on the MM.

Resolution: 1680x1050 (Spare monitor for now :( )
GPU/GPUs: XFX 7870 2GB Black Edition
Because: 5890 died on me and this was on offer for £20 still in box and used for 2 months, got me up and running. Waiting on 390X/Fury cards before making a jump.
Extras: Plays pretty much everything I play at present, struggles in places but on this res its OK. Will jump to a new GPU and Monitor when the new cards are out and I can see how it handles DX12 etc.

Resolution : 1440p
GPU/GPUs : 295x2
Because : Because I couldn't fit my two 290's on my matx board and OCUK then did the special on the 295x2 (even though 2 months later they where even cheaper.)
Extras: Will look at the 390x when its out to see if worth upgrading.

Resolution : 1920 x 1080
GPU/GPUs : Powercolor 7950 v5
Because : Because undervolted it runs 950mhz at 0.900v with no noise and 1150mhz it uses 1.150 volts and reaches 60c. Until game tech really improves I'll sit on the 7950.

Resolution :1080
GPU/GPUs :290
Because :Sent the 970 back due to VRAM issues and driver issue, wasn't too impressed with nvidia tbh, so got a cheap 290
Extras: Watercooled

Resolution : 1920.1080
GPU/GPUs : HD 7950
Because : Was supposed to be the best bang for buck GPU at the time I purchased it and I did not want to spend over £200 on a GPU when I don't game as much any more.

Resolution: 1920x1200
GPU/GPUs:Gigabyte GTX 690
Because: Was a big increase in performance from my AMD HD6970 in 2012 and I wanted to see how good NVidia's multi-gpu support and drivers were. Also, really liked the reference cooler from both a performance and aesthetics standpoint, much better than the one on the HD6970 which was terrible.

Resolution : 1440p
GPU/GPUs : 980Ti Reference
Because : My GTX680 was struggling with my new 1440p monitor and I always buy the top of the line GPU to try and last me around 3 years.
Extras: Watercooled

Resolution : 1080p
GPU/GPUs : R9-290
Because : It was best bang for buck at the time, got a great deal on it!
Plays anything I throw at it with a reasonable frame rate too!
Extras: Watercooled

Resolution : 2560x1080
GPU/GPUs : GTX 970
Because : Down scaled my system to an i5, smaller case. Then up scaled it all again! Had to make room so moved on my other GPU's.
Extras: Will be watching AMD closely to see how the new tech performs.

Resolution : 1440p
GPU/GPUs : Xfire 6970
Because : I am waiting for the new AMD cards on Monday to replace the cards
Extras: Modded 6950 to 6970s.
