GPU Hardware Survey - What Are You Running and Why?

980Ti
3440 x 1440 @ 60hz

Wanted something "different", and as soon as I saw the 34" 21:9 monitors, I knew that is what I was looking for. Need the GPU just to drive the thing!

Resolution : 2560x1440
GPU/GPUs : 970
Because : Best bang-for-buck and latest technology otherwise 290 would be the way
Extras: BF4 FPS on Ultra are acceptable, but thinking of an upgrade to completely break the 60 FPS barrier

Resolution : 1680x1050
GPU : GTX 560 Ti
Does the job for world of warcraft
Most gaming done on my ps4 at the moment

Going to be doing a full pc including monitor upgrade next year will prob go to a 1440p monitor

me, why: because I don't need more than 1080, I don't have the money for 4k + 4x titan x or 390x to run it, and why 2x 7950, because im waiting for one gpu to be double or more the speed for around 400 pounds or less, otherwise why bother when I don't need faster than I have.
1080p - 7950 crossfire

my missus, why: because I built her gaming rig outta my old parts I had laying around and old monitor, its enough for warcraft and it runs eso actually amazingly haha.
1680x1050 - HD2900xt

random system, why: in the garage that I upload youtube videos on overnight rather than my rig.
1024x768 - x850xt agp (with a amd 3200 socket 754 processor :p)

edit: added reasons why

Resolution :2560x1080
GPU/GPUs :R9 290P
Because : 3x 7950 was way overkill, and crossfire was starting to get annoying.
Extras: Also don't game enough to need 3x7950 anymore, but will probably end up with a Fury at some point :p

Resolution: 1920x1080, occasionally 5760x1080 depending on game. Actual resolution via nv control panel 5760x2160(4 monitors haha)
Cards: Gainward 770 gtx 4gb x2
Because: I had one originally when I first built my pc so bought a second. Will be upgrading this year.
Extras: Fx8350 @ 4.6

Resolution : 1080P
GPU/GPUs :GTX 550Ti
Because :Building new rig so stop gap for a few months
Extras: Actually fairs pretty well considering, will be moving to 2011 this year so can hold off until i see nvidia and amd's new tech.

Resolution : 2560x1440
GPU/GPUs : HD7970
Because : Wanted something to keep me going for a few years
Extras: A few years is up and now I'm ready for the Furrryyyyyy!

1440p
Titan X
Best card available at the time with enough memory to enable Sli to keep me going for a few years hopefully. Have been tempted to pick up a second one now but not sure I can justify the price of another just yet - hopefully I can pick one up before they become NLA which is what usually happens (I leave it too late). Since having the TX I've spent a lot more time gaming than I usually do.

Resolution : 1080p
GPU/GPUs : 7850
Because : Still a capable card at that resolution, there doesn't seem much point in spending £300+ just for the 2 games it struggles with when i'd only play them for a week.

Resolution: 1680x1050
GPU:7970

Because: Partner stays at home to look after my son whilst I work. Reasonable earnings but oil and gas is currently belly up and no overtime means I can't get any upgrades too often.
Serves me well tho, 7970 is well suited to the res and on a 22" screen doesn't look too shabby imo.

Extras: 7970 struck lucky back in the mining days, got £800 left to spend on some new gear. (Fiji pro+monitor if I can scrape it)

Res: 2560x1440
GPU's: 2 x 4gb GTX 680's
Because: I wanted the power to run everything at ultra settings (struggling a bit now mind you!!)
Extras: First EVGA cards and probably not the last. Tried AMD and just didn't like the experience (driver related) and have never strayed from Nvidia again. Started out on a 3DFX Voodoo Banshee in a P233 machine.

And the reason is keeping up to date with hardware technology this setup cost me 600 quid w/8gb of ram and without os.

Resolution: 2560x1440
GPU/GPUs: GTX670 2Gb
Because: I can't afford an upgrade due a) Girlfriend b) New Bathroom
Extras: Fully cover waterblock (waste of time, overclocking on this thing is crap)

Resolution: 1920*1080
GPU/GPUs: HD5770 1Gb
Because: used in an HTPC, plays most casual games at full settings really well.
Extras: A hero of a card, had it since new and hasn't failed me yet.
