Gran Torino

Bored sh*tless throughout. Seen the end coming. One for the easily pleased. Eastwood's acting was as wooden as ever... especially grating when he thinks out aloud/talks to the viewer.

Clint is soo 2006?

Soild film. Eastwood's grunt is hilarious.

The trailer was awful though, watched it after the film and it doesn't sell it by any means!

Watched it thursday i have to say that was a relly good film. My granfer loved it as he's a big Eastwood fan, and was laughing at all the racist jokes:D

I watched this a few weeks back and although I enjoyed it for the most part I was left feeling a little disappointed by it. I thought Eastwood wasn't up to his normal high standard and the supporting cast were terribly lacking. The story/idea itself was interesting enough but I just thought the execution was a little run-of-the-mill, for want of a better word/phrase.

I can usually watch Eastwood films over and over, whether it's a film he's done or whether he's just an actor in the film but I doubt very much I'll watch this one again tbh.

I'd probably give it 5/10.

I liked the story, and for the most part I liked Eastwood and the direction. He was terribly let down by the supporting cast. 6.5/10

i enjoyed the film but the cast apart from clint was well and truly awful

its as though they just picked random kids from the street

I just watched it yesterday and thought it was brilliant. Also having grown up around hmong culture and in the midst of hmong gangs in california the film really hit home. A kid was stabbed in the neck with a pencil at my 1st high school over a hmong vs mexican argument. not to mention a few drive by shootings which luckily did not result in any casualties.

Really enjoyed the film, although like Gaijin, felt a personal emotion to it.

Clint's raspy voice is a little annoying (does he talk like that all the time?!) but thought it was a brilliant film. Didn't like the ending though.

BB x

Watched it yesterday and tbh I wasn't expecting great things after some negative reviews I'd read.

but

I loved it, kept me gripped throughout, the story was interesting and different and Eastwood was great as Wally
I didn't think the supporting cast were that bad and tbh I think it may have made the feel of the film a bit better

The ending nearly brought a tear to my eye

The ending was good. Some shootout at the end would have been truly laughable and Walt was already dying; plus he could never have taken out all those gang members himself anyway.
