Gran Turismo 7

Anyone else keep getting a glitch where when you pit and the pit crew are standing there and it takes forever for the car to actually show up?
 
I'm a total novice using the pad and just started the circuit experiences. Started with Brands Hatch was bloody hard to get gold but got there in the end. :D

It’s not a glitch? The car actually does take a fair amount of time to reach the crew because of speed limitations and length of pit lane.
 
Anyone on here managed all gold on the Nordschleife Circuit Experience with a controller yet?

No times from people on my friends list as of yet.

I'm working my way through getting gold on the circuits, some of the tracks i don't know take a bit of time.

The 1st stage on the Nordschleife took me 30 miles to get gold on... (assuming i haven't used that M6 before). It's going to be a mission in that car, even if its one of my favourite tracks.

I gave the first sector a few tries but only got silver then moved on to other tracks. With the increased payout though it may be worth giving it another go. Though not sure I’ll ever know the track well enough to be that on it for an entire lap.
 
Finally got Gold on all the Super License tests. That Spa one on the end nearly broke me... I got .400 off the time on like my 5th or so try. I then spent the next 2 and a half hours trying to do it.. It was frustrating as I was able to easily make the time I needed up but I couldn't do the back straight at all.

@Plainsong I tried doing the Deep Forest Circuit experience which is in the R8 you used to use I think. I don't know how you managed to use that thing it's horrific, unless it's just the circuit experience version that's crap.

Congrats on the S License, Spa was difficult.

That Audi is one you win in the missions or licenses, the stock tune is terrible, keep light throttle through the corners to stay alive. try -2 on the brake balance.

The Leman's circuit experience sector 5 is well sketchy, i'm not used to super downforce GR1 cars yet! I might have to make the controller less sensitive :eek:

I think i'll do this one last, it will be the biggest mission to get gold on, if it's even possible with the car (worst handling Gr3 car apparently), but the payout is good (5mill for gold & 1mill for bronze).
 
@spaceman Cheers, I'll give that a try.

The track that is above the broad bean in the Asia region is really good fun to Circuit Experience (I think it might be Kyoto) It's pretty technical but you have a decent car as well, so it's fun to get the flowing sections all nicely joined up.

I'll probably try and do the sectors for the ring but doubt I'll do the lap attack. I'm not massively fussed on that track anyway imo.

I think i played that track for the first time in a Manufacturers Cup earlier in the week, it was a fun track for multiplayer :)
 
Man what is it with GT games.

Trying this out and already have a massive smile on my face.

Picking first car, familiar menus/tracks, style the nostalgia vibs are off the chart.

Feels more like an event than a yearly release.
 
I just did the full lap of Nordschleife in circuit experience, ended about 25 seconds off a gold time, but wasn't really pushing. The car isn't that bad with -2 of the Brake Bias like most cars.

Ran through all the sectors doing 1 or 2 runs on each afterwards:- 5x Gold, 5x Silver, 1x Bronze + Bronze on the full lap.

I should be able to get gold on all the sectors with enough runs, the full lap will take a lot of concentration for a gold time with that pace over a full lap.

I'll just take the 1 million for Bronze and come back later :D Same thing with Lemans final sector & full lap.
 
I dont get this.... my favourite car is the Ferrari 458.

WTC 600 championship. Configured the car, absolutely drives sweetly.
No matter what I do I can never finish 1st in the 2nd and 3rd race.
My times are **** hot. I am sure of it.

Yet I read up that if I use the Ford GT 06, I would prosper more.
So I tried it and I did. FIRST TIME.

Funny thing is, my lap times were MUCH SLOWER than the Ferrari 458.

It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
