I believe only the Thrustmaster T598, Fanatec GT DD Pro/Extreme and Logitech G Pro direct drive wheels are natively compatible with PS5.

I have, you are right in what your saying, I was planning on getting a R5 and an adaptor that allows you to play any wheel on console forgot what it's called.

Failing that I'd be looking at the T598 if it was instock.

I've seen a Drive Hub and Brook Raslution mentioned on Reddit. Also seen a Sigma Cortex for Simagic wheels.

The T598 is a Currys exclusive until end of 2025 (You can pre-order on Amazon for delivery January 2nd 2026). They never have stock, don't know why, wheel only came out last November.
 
Has the reliability of the TGII been improved? I remember going through two of them within a matter of weeks of each other a year or so ago. Not impressed considering it was a £600 wheel.
 
A little ashamed to say I've never played GT before, but got a code through work recently and looking forward to trying it out in VR! A probably unnecessary steering wheel purchase may be in my future

A steering wheel is never unnecessary ;)

PSVR2 and a wheel raises the immersion to new heights :D
