I've heard some say 60% and others say 65% so anywhere between those two I would say

Completed it this morning. My thoughts (obvious spoiler warning):

Regardless of whether Niko and Kate were bonding on their dates, her death had little impact for me. Also, the end bad guy for me wasn't really the 'ultimate bad guy' I'm used to facing at the end of games. If it was Darko, Dimitri or one of the early gangsters you met, perhaps but to be honest I had completely lost track of which Mafia boss was which by the end of the game- their characters were one dimensional and uninteresting. The final mission was frustratingly hard thanks to its length and the number of un-rectifiable mistakes you can make (tap a barrel with the motorbike and miss the jump, fight through waves of bad guys only to take 5 seconds too long to get on to the bike and he gets away etc). Lastly once the credits rolled I had this strange empty feeling inside- the game was simply over, unlike the previous games I had not climbed to the top of the criminal pile or in fact ended up any further in life than where Niko began. Perhaps that was the point though.

Despite all that doom and gloom the first two thirds of the game were excellent. There were some very fun missions (Three Leaf Clover springs to mind) and inventive ones (finding your target by phoning him and looking and listening out for a guy on a phone). On the whole the main characters are interesting, fairly deep and grab your attention, especially Roman and Brucie. The attention to detail in the game is staggering- which I think gets missed when fanboys debate frame-rate and image quality.

So overall a thumbs up for me, I'd definitely rate the game as one of the best I have ever played.

Oh and I've played it so much my TV has screen burn of the radar in the bottom left

I've been on 80% for nearly a week and just can't be bothered to do anymore, there is nothing that brings me back to this game. I can't find anything fun to do anymore, in the old ones it seemed like it was hard not to have fun, this one seems that after the main story line there is nothing fun left to do, it was too short and way too easy. Please, has anyone found somehting fun to do, rampaging is just boring now after 3 games, is there anything different to do in GTA 4 that I haven't cottoned on to? I play online a bit but it doesn't seem like a game that is fun online, like there are games like GRAW where I barely played the offline and just played online but this seems focused on offline and the online (the new feature that was supposed to bring it to next gen) is boring, I played SA online on PC and this isn't much different (only major difference is peds, traffic and police online which just adds lag whereas PC can have up to 200 players with some lag).

Too short? I have already put in over 15 hours (way more than all the other games I have) and I'm not even at 40%! How can this be too short? Do you really want a game that takes half your life to complete?

I completed the story at the weekend, though it was a good game although i did find that they missed a few things from previous GTA's that would have made the game a bit better, more clothes, the addition of buying more safe houses, purchase of cars (but then you can just steal them, i guess) more bars/restraunts as its a big place and im sure there is WAY more pool halls that just the one!!!!

Also the choices in the game never came back to bite you or change anything major which i think that should have done. My ending was different then most as i chose 'DEAL' the end level was a bit bland and long, saying that there were some great moments in the game and some leves which i loved, Three Leaf Clover was just ACE as i love the movie HEAT and it was just like it :D

4 out of 5 i think :)

I missed out Liberty City Minute by 4 Minutes was rather annoyed to say the least, got too caught up doing the side missions 'cos they were too much fun :(

Three Leaf mission was one of the best gaming things I have done for quite a while now, took me 4 attempts as I forgot to get armor on the 2nd and 3rd but they feeling I got while running away nearly dead was immense!

I have missed out on it too. I think I am still about 5-8% from completing it but I am on 30+ hours now because I spent about 7 hours just messing around and actually saved the game. I only have 1 save file.

I have multiple saved games (about 3/4) but they are all with the story complete. As I have rotated between the various saves as I have been doing all the races, vigilante and text message missions I had left to do. (I didn't trust the auto-save either as twice it went funny while I was playing and I had to redo a couple of missions)

I don't mind anyway as it lets me fly through it again and make different choices in the game. :)
