*** Grand Theft Auto IV - In-Game Chat [Spoilers] ***

Completed it yesterday doing the money option, then reloaded and doing the revenge mission, still got a mission to do....

So far prefer the revenge mission as I couldn't stand the person who got killed :D

I thought about saving the game before doing the missions where you have choice who to kill etc, but I'm planning on playing it through again in the future so I will just make sure I choose the oposite next time for each one.

i did the "hate the haters" mission this way. The one where you have to get the guy that's blackmailing bernie

I just ran straight up the steps, auto locked on the M4, then gunned him straight down off his moped before he got away. Its supposed to be a chase scene, but i gunned him down before he had chance to start it :D

Same, got him from the bottom of the stairs as he ran up.

I think I'm on the last mission now, following some guys in a jeep thing to Pegarino, then after some fighting he takes off in a boat and I have to chase him. Playtime is about 37 hours  I honestly thought I was going to get the 30 hour achievement easily, doesn't feel like I've been playing 37 hours.

Anyway I've tried it about 10 times and failed every time. Twice I crashed the chopper, twice the stupid bike crashed and he got away. Once I crashed a single time with the bike and it was destroyed  Fell through the roof once, fell in the water before trying to get on the bike so he got away and a few other stupid reasons all caused by the clunky movement in this game and the lame bike handing.

This game's got more endings than Lord of the Rings... Every time you think you're in the final mission/cutscene, there's more to do.

I think the designers missed something with that Darko chap too. Why would the player want to kill him? Niko had his reasons, but we, or at least I, did not. We didn't see what happened all those years ago, we merely got it second hand from Niko. So I let Darko go.

I'm also starting to feel sorry for Niko during this endgame period, but he was well shot of that ropey looking Irish bird.

For the fun of shooting him repeatedly with a desert eagle :D

Completed the main storyline just now. 38 hours gameplay. Overall I think it's a pretty decent game and easily the best of the GTA series. Seems pretty much superior to its predecessors in more or less every way.

EDIT: OMG this stupid Jacob package mission. I drive there as fast as humanly possible, I arrive, park the car directly on the arrow, I get out, nothing happens, so I run away from the car, 5 seconds later it says "The goods were not delivered in time" WTF? Is this bugged or something? It's the first package mission.

HAs anyone saw the garage on their map on the top right island?

*What does it do?

*What is the point in washing the cars?

*Take cars to it and Stevie gives you money for them.

*it makes them clean. :D

After parking the car in the highlighted circle, you have to walk towards the bloke.

The garage is for Stevie's car delivery missions, in which he texts you the locations of various cars to steal and deliver to that garage. If you're ever short on cash, this is a great way to make money. You never meet him, but he becomes a sort of contact through Brucie.

Washing cars just does that. It cleans scruffy looking cars. On many occasions I've jacked an Sentinel RS or Comet only to find it quite dirty.

That mission really drove me wild. I had to re-do it about 8 times. That Sanchez bike was god awful for handling. First few times I just kept dying in the warehouse to an enemy who was partially hidden within a wall, so he could fire at me but I couldn't see him apart from his gun sticking out. Then I missed the marker for that ramp, which you're meant to jump onto with the sanchez - so I just continued chasing him via another route until I realised I had gone wrong. Eventually I got in the chopper only to realise I had forgotten how to pilot them. I accidently hit Y and saw Niko bail out :o

I think Stevie is Brucie. You never speak to him, only via texts, it's a terribly unoriginal false name and you've said you won't work for Brucie again.

I did a similar trick :(

Into the chopper and it says stay close to the water/boat.

WHAM! Holding the left trigger wasn't clever :(

That was one of my fails, I mostly messed up on the bike though only about three times on the helicopter, twice due to rockets and once due to splashing down, when I finally got to that jetty nothing was stopping me.

This catch the wave mission with phil bell is driving me up the bloody wall, 8 times ive tryed no and everytime he gets killed.

I found you have to move quickly on that mission as Phil tends to run ahead into certain danger, stay back near the door for a start and pick off the obvious, then use cover to pick off the rest of them, I did it on my second attempt...

I'm on that one now... got at least an hour of 'playing time' to do it too :) (on about 28h30m) so should get the LCM achievement.

Just failed it first time because I crashed that silly bike into the sea after bouncing off a rock  I hate bikes!
