*** Grand Theft Auto IV - MODS & TWEAKS ***

Just tried the ultimate car pack v9 and it only seems to spawn cadillac escalades, taxi's and police cars. Everything else I need to spawn through the script/trainer.

Hmm went and tried 1.2 now that everything seems to be working and it is a lot nicer imo. Much better lighting and i duno if the nvidia things did much but it looks good when used and performance is nice. I did tweak skylighting to true tho as i saw a example of it off and on and it makes lighting in dark areas much nicer and not much of a fps hit apparently which im playing at a playable speed probably 30-40 range certainly not unplayable.

Oh and i use definition to off as it makes it so much more realistic with the dof blur and the motion blur turned on cos of it.

Heres a guide on ENB settings

Game looks darker in the screenshots but everything is visible in the scene in game.
Thanks for that, very helpful.

I have given up and started from scratch my fps was dropping below 20 sometimes... I had the remnants of too many configs.

Finding it hard to get a mod that looks good in day and night, ic enhancer looked great in day but it was way too dark at night or indoors. Another looked great at night but had many other problems. I think I found a nice middle ground but I'm just spending hours tweaking and barely much playing lol.

This did look great in the day with icenhancer, car was a little shiny...

Another, more subtle config, is there a way I can set up a scene that I can reload with different configs and compare screenshots, scene for scene?

Not sure about the scene by scene thing, can't you just minimize the game and alt tab in and out while editing? cause the enb settings change on the fly.

I agree about Icehancer too, L3evo looks great as it is but if it had Ice's daytime settings it would be the perfect enb

Didn't know this, was having problems because the icenhancer file didn't actually seem to be making any changes at all to what I was seeing, I think I had tried too many different mods... Backed up the stock earlier so I don't have to worry about that again.

Have downloaded the 14gb 3 times in the past week :o

Wow, I backed up my IV folder straight away, I have had to reinstall the game 3 times so far but its just drag and drop :p

and yea some of the settings in the config are minor and some are major, theres a link to a website in this thread some where saying what the settings do, the changes you notice the most are stuff like Direct Lighting, position of the sun and 'colorpow' or something

Yea, something was wrong as I made big changes to those actual settings but nothing was changing in game.

Meh, it wasn't other mods, no matter what i changed in icenhancer lighting did not seem to be affected, framerate was also dipping very low again. Going back to the CGE ENB will tweak that up or down.

Tried the default L3EVO one and it looked pretty good, after a bit of tweaking fps was fine too but there were some bugs where it would go extremely dark at night in some places and the sun was all wrong.

Think I'm done tweaking for now, going to go with the CGE one, it's worked best for me.
