just off the phone to the missus and no game arrived today... :mad:

Not surprised I still haven't learned my lesson from previous pre-order fiascos... :rolleyes:

I won't be surprised if it doesn't come this week at all.

COD2 came (3 weeks late) COD4 came with wrong version. Now GTA is late as well.
 
Can someone tell me what the language is like online ?
( My 12 year old will be desperate to play it when I get home and I know the actual games language is rather "fruity" )

You'd have more luck stopping in at the shops on the way home! Don't know why everyone pre-orders online, I think you've got far more chance just walking into a shop and looking for it.

Depends on the people he is playing with. You can never guarantee good or bad language will occur as the matches, unless he joins one specifically with people he knows, are randomnly assigned.
 
Went into Tescos at 8:00 on my way to work and it was sold out. Asda and <generic PC superstore> were also sold out. I ended up ordering it online with the promise of next day delivery.

(PS3 version btw)

So its down to the players, not any of the characters ?
I'm happy enough for him to play online and hear the odd @#*! but I think the games language is a wee bit too strong.

And the car on the right of the PS3 picture is completely missing on the Xbox picture ;)

I'm guessing the environment changes dynamically or the pictures weren't taken at exactly the same time. If this is the case it could also explain differences in the darkness due to the pictures being taken at a different time in the evening.

Either way, stop criticising it and just play the game!!! :D
 
Went to check in Lancaster since i have been skeeved on my pre-order and it is as dry as the proverbial bone for copies of GTA IV.
 
Mine surprisingly arrived at about 1pm, i only ordered it Saturday night ! Been playing it since like mad, good times ;).

Thats why I'm asking whats it like online, because he wont be playing offline.
IMO theres a line between shooting his friends and others online compared to engaging with prostitutes and the like in the game. :D

oh I see, Im just going to create some playlists and use them after I get bored of the game music.

Sorry, I thought you meant online. But no, single player is probably not quite as bad, although there are understandably a lot of swearies, naked ladies, people getting run over and shot etc. :p
