*** Grand Theft Auto IV - The Official Thread ***

bah went to my local superstore this morning and asked for it, guy went out the back for about 5 minutes but came back saying he couldn't find it - he took my number and said they'd give me a call when it came in.

So I did a little shopping and left the store, walking up the road and missed a call on my mobile from an unknown number, went back to the store but couldn't find the guy and a woman in the entertainment section pointed to the poster saying it was out on the 29th :( Shame because I think if I had found the same guy he would have given it to me if they'd just been delivered.

Nevermind, I have lots of uni work to do anyway but it would have been fun to have it early. Going to go again at midnight on monday as the store is a 24 hour and the poster says the game is out at 00:01 on the 29th.

I'm cutting my internet connection off after today lol

As I know a few people on here and personally who will have it delivered today or tomorrow cause of the special delivery change

So refuse to have anything spoilt for me, and there is always one on here who manages to post spoilers
 
Metal Gear Online for me (hopefully) over the weekend, maybe some Warhawk, Condemned 2, Gym and stuff to do round the house on Monday, then wake up Tuesday morning, get a coffee and shuffle to the front door with my slippers on when the postie arrives.
 
So this is what I'm going to do. When I go out in a bit I'll go to said store on my travels. Ask for GTA on the PS3 if they say they ain't selling it until Tuesday I'll so them Kenik's picture and demand a copy from them. Hopefully that will work. If not I'll just raise hell:)

What do you mean?

I meant I don't want to know about the missions people are doing, or the funny adverts on the radio, or twists in the story

Those choice events you have or other certain things. I want to play the game myself for the first time and eveything be totally new
 
Gonna have to have some sex with my GF, tonight, was really looking forward to a GTA fest :(

As you can tell I failed. Stupid customer services saying come in today to pick it up. They even went to get me a wii fit as 8 people were waiting for it, until I said Im here for GTA4 on the PS3. Guy went out the back and said nah we haven't got any stock, then showed me a folder showing out on 28th. I showed him the letter that was sent out to 'card holders' last week showing 25th, and it worked, he went into the back again but came out saying he had no stock.

Will ring them later and ask to check stock and will try another store.

SIGH CAKES, why can't people tell you it's not here rather than 'Ye sure, come in tomorrow morning at 8am' :mad:

I read it is something to do with the way the industry has a "week" with a week going from Monday through to Sunday, and they want to get as much sales as possible in the first week, either to line their pockets or to break all records...
