Nice to see you raiding but be careful some of the villages near to u have a few troops ill keep raiding the bigger ones leave you all the small (below 20 pop) :-)

Thanks, I forgot the 17 on the end!
I've raided twice so far and keep getting the same so I've increased my attacking force and am having another go! Once the numbers reduce, I'll move on elsewhere!
 
A tip for everyone:

I see quite a few people have got 5 or more troops and they are starting to use them for fairly profitable raids. It is well worth investing in a scout by the time you get over 10 troops. They are very useful for making sure that your raids are as effective as possible, and also to avoid any major casualties. The added bonus is it stops people from scouting you!
 
How do you get a scout, i should have 6 Legionnaires in 30mins or so and i'll be looking to do my first raids.

You need to get a stable first :)

I've got 7 phalanxs now, raiding my local area comfortably :)
 
Im just gettting my fields upgraded, went down to 2 wheat production at one point and that slowed me down a lot.

After Ive got that sorted im gonna get me some troops to raid with :)
 
Are there any rules on attacking the same player continually ?

One of my neighbours appears to be inactive :D

Attacked them with 2 macemen 23 times yesterday = 2500 resources approx.

Going to continue today with 4 macemen a raid until i bleed them dry !

Upgrade Barracks to lvl 3 and build academy

To find out the requirements to build a scout, have a quick look at the manual to which there is a link on the right of the main screen.

I'm doing my academy later today, as it leads to blacksmith, which leads to stables, which leads to scouts, which mitigates losses on raids :)
 
I have around 300 excess wheat atm, i've put 100 up for trade (alliance only) already but if anyone needs some give me a shout. I'll have my first Flour mill tomorrow :D . Daydream Nation will be celebrating with red wine and crackers.. I saw a Brewery in the building tree, whats that about?
 
I feel kinda bad.

I'm currently launching my 5th attack on a village right next to me, lol.

each attack lets me build another phalanx, and thus the yields keep increasing.

Once this last attack returns, a guy 2 squares from me comes off noob protection, and he only has 5 pop, so I am guessing his resources must be high with not defence n such, so I am going to pillage him straight away :D

Cheers dude. I think your deffo helping me out, I haven't been attacked in days! :D

Once all field are at lvl. 3 I will build a few more men and get raiding some more. The only problem is that everyone seems so far away from me the raids are taking over an hour in some cases!

does anyone know the difference between "raid" and "normal" attacks?
 
Heh! You buckled!!!!

I'm not sure of the difference either but my guess would be that raiding is for obtaining resources, whereas a straight forward attack is used to kill troops.

I could be totally wrong though.

Right, at 7:10pm 3 more people can get into the alliance. *Everybody* who wants in, post now, with your user name and your population. There are already three invites still open, so anybody who wants in, is going to have to have a good population, and be fast to click.
