I dont personally think that was all that good of a goal. The one before it, against Newcastle was better. Imo.

For me it would probably have to be Marodona's goal against England. Another of recent which will be a close contender for me would be Ibrahimovic's goal when he played for Ajax. I cant remember who it was against but will try and dig out some clip for it.

Eurosport had a poll a while ago to see which was the best Euro goal, I think The Van Basten goal won it and Gazza's goal against Scotland came close in second. The same vote i put :cool:

Rooney's volley against Boro in the FA Cup was perhaps the most technically perfect goal i've ever seen (along with Zidanes for Real in the Champions League Final).

Beckham also scored a cracker tonight.

If anyone has a link to Rooney's FA Cup goal then i'd be eternally grateful!
