I'm utterly shocked that it is Souness that came out with it, shocked to my core.

The better question is "do you think there was actually anything wrong with it".

I'm not a massive fan of Souness to put it mildly but I really hate the modern tendency to apologise when you haven't done anything wrong. If someone chooses to take offence to something you have said without meaning any offence then tell them to **** off. They are the ones with the problem. The mens game is a mans game (well, should be). Apologising when you haven't actually done anything wrong just encourages the permanently offended. They will be just fine without an apology.

These injuries so early on could be damaging rate where picking em could go to Utd with few more out.

De Gea seems to be a major issue as he's completely incapable of playing out from the back - something Ten Hag is insisting on.

Ten Hag is going to have to be pragmatic and make tweaks or we'll continue to be pressed into oblivion.

A bottom half finish is entirely possible as it stands. Signings are our only hope at the moment to turn the ship around.
