Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [12th - 15th August 2022]

Not sure Andersen did much wrong to be honest. There is a compilation of their interactions and if anything Darwin has a kick out off the ball and was lucky not get get a yellow for it before the head but. Darwin needs to adapt to the premier league being more physical, none of the tackles were bad or dangerous on him before he lost his head. He reacted out of frustration at the lack of impact he was having on the game rather than anything dirty challenge wise IMO.
Nunes was an idiot but Anderson fouled him a number of times and it went completely unpunished including a push in the box. He'll learn from it but refs need to be better.

Still need a midfielder

All the football channels like AFTV will have more extreme views - partly because they are hardcore fans to set up YouTube and streaming sites, but also people watching want the extremes of emotion from watching. If they accept a clear penalty/card then why would viewers watch? They deliver the high emotion content viewers want to see and I think it is wrong to use this to describe a fan base.

Anderson was niggling away all game and Nunes lost it. Simple as that really.

I dont think Nunes was frustrated on his output on the game as i think he played well i just think it was a combination of him playing at Anfield for the first time, being a bit over keen and well taking the bait. I've seen people wanting a 5 game ban for it which is frankly daft.

He'll learn from it and well he'll have to as they'll all be in his ear even more now then they would have been.

Umm no. i wanted people to praise arsenal lol or at least not **** them off?

Title contenders? what are you dreaming? LOL

Why would people praise Arsenal? They won a game of football and didn't play well. I'd give Arsenal a bit of credit where it's due, but 2 good results is pretty meaningless in isolation.

City only get a bit of praise because they have no fans and nobody really cares about them :p

Why would people praise Arsenal for having 31% possession in one half?

Why do you care? It was two weeks ago lmao.
I don’t really care about that game now anyway, but from a footballing perspective, using possession as an indicator of performance is a bit silly. A lot of teams, especially counter attacking sides, purposefully play a game of lesser possession.

It was a headbutt and he tried to headbutt him just before he actually connected. If that doesn't warrant a longer suspension than the standard 3 games I don't know what does. Considering the lower requirements you usually have for a straight red I am surprised that you don't think this is more serious.

Oh don’t worry, if it had been a palace player who did that to Nunez, he would want him shot.

He's hardly launched his head into him. He's gone chest to chest and connected with his head, its a soft headbutt. Its a red card for sure but the idea we are now giving out 5 games for that yet you can snap someone's leg in half and get 3 is laughable.

Id want him sent off which he was. Hope that helps.
