Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [12th - 15th March 2021]

Yep there was one this weekend where the linesman let the attacker run 30 yards then stuck his flag up as soon as he touched it. It's ridiculous.

That was a close decision though, imagine him flagging and Salah was onside. Some of them are silly though when the players are miles off and they don't raise their flag.
It may not have changed much here, but Salah could have been 5 yards off and the laws say that the linesman still shouldn't flag

Pretty sure the move had a good chance of being complete by time linesmen lifts flag and ref blows. This ain’t the incident to highlight that issue at all

Hopefully keeper is grand

What the hell was that from Mane at the end, perfectly good attack and then he just stopped in his tracks and didnt seem to want to pass it and got it nicked off him instead.

It is and it isn't. I agree that the late flag probably hasn't caused the injury here, but the same thing could happen with the player much further offside, and I'd hope this makes the point well enough for the debate to be had

And for all the calls the linesman flags that’s too early and wrong? This one was very close and could easily have been wronf

Probably the better team over 90 minutes but not a great display. Thought Trent, Nat Hyypia and Jota were excellent tonight though.

Get well soon Patricio.

Needs to see a sports psychologist or something, his head doesn't look in it atm.

That was a bit of a grind. We've played better than that in a number of the games we've lost but a win's a win. Fingers crossed Patricio's injury isn't as bad as it looks.

Oh and I really hope somebody is having a word with Mane after the game. I'm losing count of the amount of times he's being fouled in the penalty area and staying on his feet, only to be rewarded with **** all.
