Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [12th - 15th March 2021]

Sigh, all the ball and besides the two chances by Mane were not making wolves keeper having to do much of anything.

The mane chances should have been finished imo.

Wolves did start brightly, they do look dangerous on the break

I'd like to see us try starting him off the front 3 in matches against weaker sides
I previously thought that would work well but as BaZ has pointed out before, he tries too many flicks and high risk passes for a midfielder and that's when he was able to find a teammate.

Mixed half, way too open in defence but look better going forward. Jones on for Thiago ASAP, he's getting a second yellow if he continues.

I'm not sure if that's true. He currently loses the ball 3.5 times per match. That's more than our midfielders (Jones for instance is 2.6), but far less than Salah (5.6) or Mane (4.7). Based on the Whoscored.com stats.

Generally, it makes sense for a player a bit further back to lose the ball less, so I don't think moving Firmino backwards would lead to much more risk in possession than playing with Jones for example

Bruno Fernandes hits double figures daily btw.

WTF is that decision? Handball given against Wolves and the ref didn't have a clue where it hit him, it wasn't on his arm. Literally guess work at best.

Edit: Noticed it a few times but Mane never bothers to get in the box when Salah has the ball, guess he expects Salah to shoot so doesn't bother. Had an easy tap in just then if he had.

Obviously it's absolutely the right thing to do, and the main thing is that Patricio is ok, but it's sad that concussion subs will mean less outfield players in goal
