Because he is offside, unless he is obstructing the view, city players shouldn't worry about offside players.

The law doesn't actually say interfering...according to the ref on Sky Sports...
2. Offside offence

A player in an offside position at the moment the ball is played or touched* by a team-mate is only penalised on becoming involved in active play by:
interfering with play by playing or touching a ball passed or touched by a team-mate or
interfering with an opponent by:
preventing an opponent from playing or being able to play the ball by clearly obstructing the opponent’s line of vision or
challenging an opponent for the ball or
clearly attempting to play a ball which is close when this action impacts on an opponent or
making an obvious action which clearly impacts on the ability of an opponent to play the ball
or
gaining an advantage by playing the ball or interfering with an opponent when it has:
rebounded or been deflected off the goalpost, crossbar or an opponent
been deliberately saved by any opponent

I was waiting for that, so that's why I asid "according to the ref on sky Sports". I said that for a reason.

He doesn't obstruct the opponent though, as the opponent wouldn't have made it to the ball as it was travelling too fast. Rashford didn't physically obstruct city players to the ball. So that fails on that count for interfering.

He doesn't touch the ball, so that isn't interfering.

Its not offside by the rules but its the same crap rule as the Salah goal v Wolves, just a crap rule. I support Liverpool so its not like I pick and choose goals to say are right or wrong.

So many daft rules that make the game crap at times

Malacia has had decent game today. He's shown he is capable at this level. A good attitude and still very young. I know we conceded but our defence is so much better with Varane and to be able to play Shaw ar CB, miss Dalot they all deserve credit. Still not convinced about the balance in midfield forward but we've shown some mettle. Halaand did next to nothing today. I think he's hiding in Luke Shaws pocket

That's a magnificent result and a good performance overall.

Arguably a degree of good fortune with the first goal but whatever.

Delighted.

21 is on boys!

We played far to much respect to City playing a 4 midfield. Changing it to a 3 changed it around. City managed just one on target! If we took our chances we would have been clear and dry.

The Eric Ten Hag era has arrived baby!

Arsenal we are coming for you!
I make you favourites now. You’re playing well, looking very hard to beat, can’t see you losing more than another 2 games this season and you’ve got the refs on your side. It’s gonna be Utd no doubt.
