Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [15th - 17th Dec 2020]

Hypocrite Jose as per... He should try running down the touchline again, maybe his team's would have a little more passion to actually win anything.

A very fragile manager and it's no wonder he can't win anything.

That was a deserved win. We were the only side that went out to win the game, Spurs set up for a draw hoping they might pinch a win. Yes Spurs had a couple of chances but you have to expect that with the quality forwards they have (and our makeshift backline) but they were only ever isolated chances in between sustained pressure and chances from us. How many times did we create openings for Salah, Mane, Firmino & Jones only to shoot straight at Lloris?

Fabinho was outstanding again but Curtis Jones is really maturing into a serious player too.

They're both making outstanding cases for staying in the team when players are back from injury. As much as I think we need another CB in January, I'm not sure I'd want it to be at the expense of moving Fabinho back in to midfield and Jones out of the team.

Matip's not staying fit for a prolonged period so Fabinho's going to have to play most of the season at CB even if we sign another. We're going to miss him in midfield but if we can get Thiago, Milner, Keita and Ox fit, or even a couple of them then that will ease the burden on Gini, Hendo & Jones.

Must admit, I really wanted Liverpool to buy Havertz but it does rather appear that either he is having trouble adapting or perhaps isnt as far along in his development as I thought he was.

They're both being played out of position. Werner is a central ST, being played out on the wing. Havertz plays as central attacking mid, right behind the ST - Chelsea are playing him deeper or in a holding 3. I think they've made solid signings and are building a team for the future. I'm very confident both those players will play a huge part in Chelsea's success in the future.

Werner has played a lot on the left of a three and is arguably his best position. The problem with that is that's Pulisics best position and he's having to play on the right instead.

As for Havertz if play him like we play Bobby personally.

tbf that's exactly what they setup to do, they had something like 30% possession against us and won 2-0.

If Kane bothers to head that cross Firmino doesn't score, not that i'm complaining.

They set up for Liverpool to have 11 shots on target?

Fulham put up more of a fight and actually got something out of the game last week then the champions elect Spurs. Embarassing stuff from Spurs.

Hardly embarrassing, they could have quite easily nicked a win at Anfield, a place they / no-one has got a result for a ridiculous amount of time, I think judging by some of the comments on here during the game, they did a really good job of frustrating Liverpool, a few heart in mouth moments for Pool fans. If they set up all out attack, they would have probably got spanked.
Klopp was the biggest embarrassment of the game, they actually had a "whinge cam" locked on him for half the game.
