Why is Tyler bigging up the West Brom defence? They’re conceding loads.

Edit: lol another that’s 11 in 3 games.

So you're saying those errors this season weren't his fault and they were someone elses mistakes?

He wasn't a scapegoat he was ****.

Typical of football fans these days, now Frank is out of his depth and wasting money with no clue and should be sacked. Then they complain managers come in and try to insta build teams by throwing money at it. They have to, if a small run of games goes wrong everyone wants them out.

Well Chelsea last season had the third worst record from goals from set pieces, you telling me that’s not the defence and the coaches fault too? Get real
 
So had Mount's shot gone straight in then it would have been ruled out for the Havertz handball but because the keeper saved it and Abraham scored the rebound it's ok :o

They tweaked the law this summer. Before it was any handball in the build up but because that was a bit ambiguous as to where that begins they changed it to directly before the goal. Last season that goal would have been ruled out but this season it's fine.
 
Feeling really annoyed about having Liverpool so soon in the season. Would have been a good chance to get a few points in the bank over the others, particularly the way they’re performing atm.

Plus, we’ve started well, so it would have been good to keep the momentum going.

Which means nothing, how many of the goals were down to the goal keeper not being able to do the simple things, same with pickford are you saying that's a coaching problem too and he's a scapegoat. Problems with the defence? With both teams its far more likely the defences are jittery as **** having such poor form keepers behind them. Again you're not a scape goat if you are messing up like Kepa has been. It's odd because all I have seen on here and radio etc is people saying Everton and Chelsea won't get anywhere with the keepers they have and now you are saying Kepa is a scape goat. More likely it just suits the trend to have a reason to bash Lampard. Is DeGea a scapegoat too?

True, but none of us know what he asked of the players all week. If they didn't follow instructions then fair enough. Too many of these high paid stars hide as it's the manager that get's the sack or down tools. I wish more would call them out if they don't do what's asked of them. But if they were doing what they trained for then yes he's trying to deflect the blame. But he doesn't strike me as that sort of person, we just don't know.

Why did he keep picking the keeper? Why did he drop him, bring him back, drop him, bring him back etc.

Did you see his post match interview today (and last week)? He literally said that all the goals Chelsea conceded were pure mistakes, nothing to do with tactics etc and nothing he could work on. Lets pretend that Chelsea's defensive issues are purely down to individual mistakes, why's Lampard picking these players? Why has he just spent £150m+ on forwards and not focussed that on his defenders.

Chelsea's defensive record is appalling and not all those goals have been down to individual mistakes either. I mentioned it earlier, he's constantly chopping and changing his system, dropping players and brining them back in. He looks clueless but post match he constantly looks for excuses.
