Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [29th - 30th October 2022]

People aren't sensitive you're just being called out on the absolute garbage you're talking. No one has even mentioned Isak yet who was a fraction less then a striker who's actually getting numbers.
3 games and two goals whilst being injured.

Not expecting a goal every other game also. I pin pointed his strengths early this season. One of the best ball carriers and his pressing stats are mint.

Team look dead on their feet, no covering, no desire, no covering for team mates. They're knackered physically and mentally. Saw Brunidish's tweet last night that Leeds ran 11km more in the game, we played essentially a man down.

I think you're spot on there. I'm usually slated for it, but I still believe it's a glaring fact that Mane leaving takes so much from the team. I think the development of Elliot coupled with another midfield signing is something Pool will just have to wait for at the same time of looking for a replacement for Salah over the coming years.

It'll just be another period of transition, much like when Klopp first took over. You will have to spend to keep up with he others.

Yeah the combination of playing every single game possible in a season and increasing age has knackered a lot of players. Can anyone name another team who played every game possible in a season and how they performed the following year?

Its more than just that though of course, its the culmination of several factors all coming to fruition and its probably going to be a long road out of it. I still think that FSG will sell up rather than shell out. Cash in their chips while they can sort of thing. Who knows, maybe Liverpool will be the next team to be backed by oil giants. That could be pretty detrimental to the league, imagine the combination of that wealth + the huge Liverpool name + the huge Liverpool history.

Man United only played a few less in their Treble winning season and won the league two more times after that :p. 2 less games in the league cup and 1 less game in the champions League as there was less bloat in it back then. Then again we had FA cup replay against Arsenal so that was one extra in that cup so we played 2 less.

Mane leaving has had zero impact on our ability to do even the basics of the system Klopp wants, its an unbelievably lazy excuse and the kind of rubbish you'd see Merson or Mills come out with, the drop off in form by the cb's and midfield is something far greater than simply Mane leaving.

I totally agree that it's a season of transition, it was going to happen eventually.

I wish Ronaldo would just **** off, I’m sick to death of hearing about him everytime I switch on sky sports news or listen to any punditry.

Unfortunately that will be the case until he does **** off. He doesn't play, all they talk about is why he isn't playing and how he would 100% have scored that chance. He does play and they constantly talk about how he needs better service or dozens of other topics that are definitely everyone elses fault and not his.

This argument also annoys me, if we had done what most said and got slated for which was improve midfield as of 2 years ago to bed the eventual replacements in we wouldn't need to transition as such.
