Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [2nd-4th Oct 2020]

What was the point in keeping Pogba on if they wanted to shut up shop? It's like watching Soccer AID and seeing a 60 year old ex pro try and keep up with teenagers.

Spurs could end up getting double figures, :D

How utd fans still defend pogba and rate him is insane, such a luxury player who only turns up when he wants

I'm sorry but this argument that United managers are not backed is complete BS. Yes they could be backed more and perhaps should be but not a single one of our managers has built a side that is greater or even equal to the sum of their parts.

Its this stupid idea that if we buy enough good players we will suddenly give a **** on the pitch. That we will suddenly be tactically brilliant.

We are garbage. We have a crap manager and we have a bunch of poorly coached players who don't care.

He's spent about £215m since joining the club. How is that not a fortune?

Just for comparison that's a very similar number to Lampard at Chelsea who's being accused of buying wins.
With the impending arrival of Telles you're looking at around £275m gross and £200m net between last summer and now. He's spent a fortune but not spent it well.

He was just jogging back for that goal. No effort to close down Aurier.
Utd need rid of him.

Well that and your board, Ole also isn't a world class manager either.

It's nice to see utd decline though especially after (not you or any one this forum) most fans claimed what happened to us wouldn't ever happen to utd.

Utd in for many years or decades of pain if this club mismanagement keeps up

Last window is irrelevant. He has had no backing what so ever in this window at all. Also United should be spending large amounts they earn the most revenue out of everyone in the league and to compete with the best money needs to be spent (albeit not for much longer).

Utd are doing a good job of making me feel better about some Southampton results :p

We lose 1-0 to Palace, Utd lose 3-1 to Palace a week later.

We lose 5-2 to Spurs, Utd are 5-1 down after 50mins a week later.

Who is meant to be captain? This is beyond pathetic now.

Greenwood and Rashford, Fernandes are the only players starting that deserve to wear the shirt again.

Maguire and Pogba need to be gone. Just write them off. Bye.

Really? Most of the fans I know were crapping it when SAF left.

Utd's revenue for last season will be around about the same as Liverpool's. Liverpool will probably end the window with a profit on transfers. Even excluding agents and signing on fees for Cavani, Utd's net spend will be £50m+, probably higher than all but City and Chelsea(?) who are able to spend as if covid didn't happen.

That's not how it works though. You go out and spend a huge amount of money and the expectation is that you've built a base so you don't need to do it again next year. If that's not the case you've failed.

Also, if as it sounds United get Telles, they'll have spent the second or third most in the league this window behind Chelsea and City. Again, I don't see how he isn't being backed
