Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [2nd - 5th Feb 2021]

We were 4-0 up against a team with 10 men. It wasn't the most ballsy decision ever but it was certainly positive. I think using all your subs by the 60th minute was stupid though. AWB looked like he might have picked up an injury and had to stay on when perhaps he should have come off.

To be fair, he could've easily come off and we play with 10 men. It's not changing the outcome by that point.

The problem is that you don't. AWB played on and for relatively minor injuries you can "run them off" and continue but that doesn't mean that you aren't injured or that you aren't making it worse by carrying on. What if DDG got injured or we got 2 injuries. Its just a risky thing to do that early in the second half.

Southampton have requested that Mike Dean and Lee Mason aren't allocated to officiate any of our upcoming games. Could be some interesting fall out from that request.

I've never been inclined to actually analyse it but it's a long running belief amongst supporters that Mike Dean has a vendetta against the club.

Alisson is just ill, not injured. It better not be the rona, we need him at the weekend!

Thats reassuring at least.

Weekend seems last chance for us to stumble back into the race (still think its very unlikely we'd come close now, mentality giants are long gone). Lose and its for sure over, don't forsee City doing a manu level of choke with 5 games to go.

Liverpool: Kelleher, Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, Henderson, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Milner, Thiago, Shaqiri, Salah, Firmino.

Subs: Adrian, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jones, Tsimikas, Origi, Davies, R. Williams, Cain, N. Williams.

So Kelleher gets the nod :)

All refs will have some sort of vendetta. I would say it is impossible unless you import refs from different countries.

Yeah, there are lots of teams that think refs have it in for them. Either some refs have a lot of vendettas or fans just remember all the bad decisions and forget the games that were fine.
