Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [3rd - 6th December 2021]

None of the 2pm kick offs are televised today, what a joke that is. It’s our league ffs, and the rest of the world gets to watch it more than us. Baffling.

I know, it’s ridiculous isn’t it. At least there are plenty of ways to watch nowadays…

The more galling thing is that quite often I will use a dodgy streaming service to watch a game via a Sky stream because its better quality than the one that Sky are providing me on an actual subscription. God I hate Sky.

OcUK charter a plane to the US every weekend so we can all watch the weekends games legally and discuss it on the forum. If you want a seat next week just pm Robbo @Droolinggimp

It is mental how the majority of games can’t actually be watched in the UK, they can use the excuse about fan attendance all they want but it’ll never wash with me. Just charge a bit less for a ticket!

The issue isn't attendances of PL games but lower league games.

Take Tranmere as an example, how many Liverpool and Everton fans that also follow Tranmere would go to the game if Liverpool/Everton were on TV at the same time?

The obvious answers is scrapping Saturday 3pm's in the PL but try running that by fans groups. The PL already get huge amounts of resistance from supporters for putting games on either too early or too late because of the challenges of away fans getting too or from these games via public transport.

The obvious answer is Everton fans would rather go to Tranmere? 500 million well spent :D

Unchanged side.

RalfOUT!

Will be interesting to see how much he has changed things in a few days. I am not expecting much and CP have been really good at times this season so it could be a hard game.

I think after December we should have a better idea who Rangnick likes and what sort of style he will use until the end of the season. The other question is whether we will try and sign a quality CM/DM in Jan. Not convinced we will.

Waiting for the idiots to come out if we lose this game and say we should have kept Carrick on as interim.

Far too early to judge after effectively 2 days (at best). I don't think the previous games he's watched will matter too much, he'll want to see how the players carry out his specific instructions.

Certainly if it looks like the midfielders are nowhere near the quality he wants, I can see some movement in January.

Not expecting an easy game either.

For sure, there is no point trying to give any sort of complex instruction when you have no idea how well they take instruction or their capacity for it.

One addition makes sense.
