Can't take too much from this game but yeah. New manager bounce, actual tactics and instruction that the players seem to be able to take on board. Who knows what Ole was trying to do in the end but it was completely failing. In a month or so we will see how much things have changed.

It offered some encouragement as a team performance but I've been disappointed with Rashford, Sancho and Fernandes. They've been really poor, wasteful and we've let Palace back into this match. The full backs have been decent and have offered a bit more than usual but I can still see us weakening and conceding. Time for subs me thinks

Edit: yes Greenwood on for Sancho. Correct move

Much better but Rashford is the golden boy and tends to escape scrutiny. Super frustrating player lately. I gave him the benefit of the doubt last season because of his injuries but this season he needs to show something. Hes not particularly good technically so I don't know how he will adapt to any system that relies on fast passing and movement.

Agreed, I don’t really understand why he gets the games. He just runs the ball out and makes atrocious decisions.

Bruno has been scrappy and poor in possession too. Too many blind passes.
 
So ******* help me god Rashford. There is no excuse for being offside this much. I don't care if you weren't expecting the ball. What is the benefit of sitting offside when someone might pass to you. Defenders can ignore you and you break down so many ******* attacks.

He's almost exclusively a player suited for counter attack so I'm not sure how he will fare in a team that looks to have more possession and width. Anyway he's been pretty gash today so lets hook him

Hes been pretty crap in the counter as well though. He used to hit it past players and beat them for pace and now he just either hits it into them or hits it past them and flops to the ground at the slightest hint of competition from a defender.
