Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [4th - 6th July 2020]

We wont spend significant money this window or imo next.

How we have go this many point just shows how good Klopp is. Citys lineup today is enough to win any league nevermind their bench!

What concerns me is our opposition will strengthen whereas we'll still have Origi and Lovren as backup. I can't envisage this being the case but it wouldn't surprise me at all if it was. Klopp's a fantastic man but his decisions and subs at times are questionable.

Some of you guys are a right bunch of whiners :p We've got nothing to play for, playing in an empty stadium and on a massive come down after winning the title. Of course we're not going to play with the same intensity and have the same urgency to our game. The next few games are going to be a bit of a grind with half the squad subconsciously on the beach already. In fact it wouldn't be a bad idea if Klopp sent a few of them to the beach and brough in the likes of Jones, Williams and Elliott - these guys will play with the intensity and urgency lack was lacking today.

Anyway, we won.

We did win sure but it's how we won, which was through a horrendous 60-70 mins of turgid football and that's been the case for a good proportion of the season. The fact we were dismantled by City with relative ease the other day you'd hope would spark a "we'll show why we're the champions" response but alas not. Part of me yearns for the Rodgers/Suarez days, sure we might concede but at least we'd be entertaining.

Call me greedy but I'd like us to win and win in style.

City fans keep saying Ederson would walk into most sides midfields. That's the 3rd time he's tried in a few seasons and he's been lobbed each time.

We're playing ten times better than I was expecting for a home game against City but still feel like we need another 2 goals to be anywhere near 'safe' in this game :p

Lol comms say Adams backed off from that challenge with Ederson, wouldn't you?! Probably thought his teeth would be being picked up off the touchline.

How many games in the league have Liverpool lost under Klopp? I reckon that 9th loss by Pep today is up there with the total for Klopp.

Considering the money he's spent thats shocking.
