Fabinho/Hendo at CB? Maybe Hendo will make those challenges too if he keeps playing there but it's not a maybe any more with Fabinho. That's the 2nd penalty he's given away, he could have easily given away a pen vs Fulham too and gave away a free-kick on the edge of our box that cost us the FA Cup tie vs Utd. He makes too many tackles that you don't need to make as a CB.
In midfield his job is to win the ball back so he's making lots of tackles and 99% of the time it's not an issue because the risk is giving away a free-kick 50 yards from goal. In and around your own area you've got to be a lot more careful because the risks are far higher. Unfortunately he's a bit too keen to win the ball and it's costing us.
In that 3 year time lapse Alisson helped us win the League and CL. Thank god for those time zones.Its just the time zone catching up from Brazil to Spain

I didn't even realise Shaqiri came on. I had a rage poo after I heard Jones was being taken off and can't recall Shaqiri being mentioned once

Well considering they play completely different positions at the moment i dont get the comparison. Also when i said that we were 1st and City 5th so on the basis of the season so far I was absolutely correct and Jones was bossing it for us.
Fodens playing as a false 9 nowadays...he wasnt 3 months ago.
I'm not comparing them, I'm merely saying Foden is much the better player and deserving of any award you were referring to at the time, 2 months ago and now.
Whether a player is better is irrelevant if he isnt playing. He had played 4 games when i made that comment. He is then moved into a forwards role and starts getting a few goals and Chris Sutton and his mates wake up and compare him to Messi and everyone goes wild.
What i said was hardly controversial, he had barely played ffs.

You started harping on about player positions etc, hence comparing...
Stop crying because you made a ridiculous comment, regardless of Foden's play time this season, anyone would have him over the competition in England, then and now.
You said it on 31st December for the record. Pretty sure Foden had played more than 4 times.

Right...i said only one would win YPOTY and with one being top of the league and an big reason for that it was hardly a wild thing to say.
Foden had barely played and city were 5th.
Neither of them had done anything to warrant being in the discussion for YPOTY at that point (Jones had 7 starts, Foden 5). Foden has picked up a little bit, and will likely win it if man city win the title, but other players have had more impressive seasons so far imo: Justin, Saka, Barnes (my Leicester bias is showing
