Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [8th - 10th April 2022]

How are those sort of challenges not red cards? Cynical and absolutely filthy. When we are talking about endangering opponents, he has no chance of getting to the ball and just wipes him out.

About time they started being serious foul play and a red imo

Yeah absolutely agree I hate it when people do these professional fouls, these are the perfect type of challenges to bring in a 10-15 sin bin punishment

The battle for 4th has been so topsy turvy this season but after today's results it's hard to see past Spurs. They were battered for most of the first half but they managed to hold out and have been lethal on the break. Spurs' front line looks like it's going to be the difference. They're not having to play particularly well to win games and then you've got Arsenal who are the exact opposite - they generally play better football than Spurs but they look toothless in attack.

It'll be a massive kick in the balls to Arsenal to miss out. At the start of the season nobody would have picked them but they got themselves in a position where it was theirs to lose and it looks like they're going to lose it. And if it is Spurs that benefit from that it will be an even bigger blow as it will give them a big financial boost over Arsenal.

It's mad to think that Conte practically resigned in a post match interview the other month. How quickly things change.

Conte has done an immense job at Spurs since he joined.

They were favourites to finish mid-table before he came, and now they're favourites for top 4.

How come Man Utd never went for him, or did they, can't remember?.

Horrible second half that, just horrible. Haven't seen us play that well all season and to be pulled apart like that in the final third was just depressing.

Pretty sure a lot said he was 'too defensive' and 'not the right fit'

Contes a proven winner everywhere he's been (only in short bursts though) but seeing how depressed he got after a few bad results with Spurs squad he'd have been topping himself off the top of the Alex Ferguson stand by now if he'd been in charge of United! :p

:D

TBH, with the "couldn't give a ****" attitude of some Man Utd players, he may not have done as good a job as with Spurs.

Feel bad for the fan, first they get their phone smashed then as a further kick in the nuts they get offered free tickets to a Man United match. A bad Saturday for that fan.
