Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [8th - 10th April 2022]

I know we have a small squad and struggle massively when anyone decent is injured but Arteta's insistence on playing Laca is doing just as much damage. He's been beyond useless recently and ruins most of our attacks. 2-0 down now, top 4 is gone. The decision not to strengthen over the winter transfer window is killing us.

We only have one effective, cohesive line-up and when people get injured and we have to shuffle people about in midfield everything falls apart. We managed to keep that line-up going (minus Tomiyasu for Cedric) for a large chunk of the season but as soon as we couldn’t it’s effectively back to square one.
 
International break was a real **** for us. Tierney got injured badly, and so did Partey. Partey’s might not have seemed much, but you could tell on Monday something was wrong. Also not helped by genius Arteta, who after losing his best midfield player, then decides to drop the next best midfielder to LB.

Big example of inexperience. Tavares should have played or Cedric go LB and White RB.

i dont agree saka should have played lb he can play that position that would have kept xhaka in midfield and pepe on the right to replace saka
 
Hard to blame squad players when Arteta rigidly sticks to the same 11. His rotation has been poor and then when there's an injury they're expected to magically find some form. Lokonga, Tavares, Nketiah, Pepe, none of them are great but they all look like they've regressed due to lack of minutes.

One of the few areas where lack of extra games has hurt us.

Arteta has always been a fraud. The fact Arsenal have had no cup and Europe to worry about but are still struggling to get top 4 says it all. Look at how well Auba is doing since he has left.

Spurs will get top 4 and Westham will win Europa and get in the champs league ;).
