It was accidental.
That's open for debate. The definition of intentional handball has been stretched to include incidents where a players arm is in an unnatural position. As I said, given how far his arm was from his body I was amazed it wasn't given as a handball. More often than not you will see them given.

I mean its borderline retarded. If you get a clear advantage from a handball then it should be a foul. How it isn't is beyond me. I mean, why wouldn't you stick out an arm in the box if you are allowed to use it if you need it. As long as you don't move the arm towards the ball its accidental and alright.

Like i said, it should just be how it was last season. That way there isnt any confusion and its black and white. Some will go for you and some wont.

I guess you could argue how far do you go back? Do we go 5 passes before the goal or just the "assist" pass.

You know what i think on this. Penalty and a red card.

Gotta admit tho...id be raging if that happened to Liverpool lmao

The ball ricochets up on to his arm. You can't get anymore accidental than that.

The sourness at the refs decision in here is incredible. The fact you are level with Boro in this game is none other than your own fault.

Fernandes chance and penaldo alone.

Tempted to agree with you on this occasion.

I would be more annoyed if this wasn't the FA cup and we hadn't missed about 10 chances.

I should have clarified...To Boro.

Accidental isnt that he didnt mean to handball it...it can be if his arm is unnatural to his movement.

I've seen supporters from all clubs saying how poor the decision was. Nice try.

Clearly he tried to control the ball with his foot whilst in the air, his arm will naturally need to be a little outstretched whilst jumping. You're clutching as straws to say it's not accidental. There's certainly no intent.

Ref/VAR got it spot on thankfully.

I dont really care as i dont support United but as Baz pointed out...9 times out of 10 when an arm is stretched like that its a handball. If thats a defender its a pen.
