I do think we should have been out of sight, but that doesn't justify poor officiating.

Looking at the rules, the general consensus among experts seems to be that the goal should have been ruled out.

Anyway, hopefully it won't matter, although I'm not overly excited by the FA Cup in general.

Some extra time after a break isnt necessarily a bad thing imo.

Lee Dixon getting angry about someone blowing up balls incorrectly. Whatever next.

I wouldnt call that angry...but he has a point. Get on with it.

The ball ricochets up on to his arm. You can't get anymore accidental than that.
As I've said, intentional handball has been stretched to include incidents where a players arm is in an unnatural position - this is essentially decided by how far their arm is away from their body. There's an element of subjectivity involved (which is why VAR probably didn't overturn the decision) but you rarely see handballs not given when the players arm is that far from the players body.

He's jumping... where do you expect his arm to be. Try playing football and keeping your arms by your side whilst jumping. It never happens.

Jumping? That's a stretch even for you.

Both feet off the ground trying to cushion the ball down with the inside of his foot. did you even watch the twitter video someone posted. What would you call it? you try doing that and keeping your arms down by your side.

If he was running along with his arm out that much then fair enough disallow it, but clearly that wasn't the situation.

I have watched it a few times. He sort of controls it and jumps a little bit. People raise their arms trying to win headers - this isn't that.

Anyway, penalty shootout incoming no doubt

Ok, I think somebody linked to a Dale Johnson tweet - he's a qualified ref and covers all refereeing decisions etc for ESPN and he said he expected it to be given and I think the majority of football fans did too.
