Greenlizard0 PL & FA Cup SF Football Thread ** spoilers ** [21st - 23rd April 2023]

How scary is it for Everton if they do go down? I know they’ve still got some financial issues going on but would be interesting to hear from some Everton fans how worried they are outside of the actual relegation? @ThundyCat

Can they then get docked points after relegation for the championship for their financial shenanigans? I think the financial hole they are in and the lack of saleable assets in the squad, we won't be seeing them darken the EPL for quite some time. They might get 1.5m for DCL the way he's turned into balsa wood.

Ridiculous half of football. Despite not playing especially well, we could have easily been a couple of goals up at HT. Every time we had a set-piece we either could or should have scored. Despite the nervous feeling to the end of the game, Forest only really had one chance all game with both their goals being nothing attempts with huge deflections.

A win was the most important thing though and Jota scoring again is a big boost for the final games of the season as he's somebody that has a habit of scoring important goals in games.
Yay, Liverpool are a top 6 team again :D
We're 7th.

Yeah we're down for sure, we cannot score goals which is a massive problem.

The point at Palace was bit of a surprise, I expected us to lose by 2 or 3 goals.

Am I worried about relegation? No. I've accepted we're a joke and I'm resigned to the fact we're going down.

Goodison and Richarlison saved Everton last season. Their remaining home games this season are vs Newcastle, City & Bournemouth on the final day, which doesn't look easy and there's nobody that looks like they are going to stand up and drag Everton over the line like Richarlison did last season.

By next Monday the relegation picture could look a lot clearer. Everton are going to need to take something vs Newcastle on Wednesday when Leicester are away to Leeds and then Everton go to Leicester on Monday. Two defeats and Everton could be done.

Anyone watching the Wrexham game in a bit? Since the documentary, I have taken a bit of interest in them. Wrexham and Notts county, unbelievable. Going to be scenes if Wrexham win tonight, promotion.

Gordon will score against Everton, that has to be nailed on. So the best Everton can get is a draw :D You look at that Everton squad and if every single one of them stayed for the Championship I still don't think they would be a playoff position. Financially they had no choice but to sell players but they also had to known that had doomed them to championship football. They would have been fine to have turned a few of those tighter games to wins with someone who just got 5-10 goals this year.

It will be carnage when they get relegated, who they blame, who has to take the fall to try an appease the fans.

Probably won't watch but will keep an eye on the score. Documentary is great, can't wait for season two.
Could you imagine the drama if Wrexham draw their last two games and Notts County win their last match and win the league on goal difference and then Wrexham fail to get promoted through the playoffs. Would hate to be the one trying to explain exactly what happened and the rules to Reynolds and Mcelhenney :D
