Greenlizard0 PL & FA Cup SF Football Thread ** spoilers ** [21st - 23rd April 2023]

how big do you think Man City fan base actually is? What about the city of Manchester its self, not from there so can't say what % is red or blue? According to Man utds website they have a following of 1.1billion.

edit:
Well i mean considering their revenue is the highest in the world id expect them to sell out Wembley or at least not have large areas blocked off lol.

Gordon will score against Everton, that has to be nailed on. So the best Everton can get is a draw :D
The worst thing Newcastle could do is start Gordon, in fact I'm not even sure they should put him on the bench. Everton's best chance of getting anything in that game is if Goodison is at it's hostile best and Gordon on the pitch or even warming up on the sidelines is going to fire the crowd up.

But don't we hate it when a team spends their way to success by way inflating the wages etc? I remember the joy when City over turned United for their first title and almost everyone was pleased for them :D

Shock as actors can fake emotion and ham this up big time.

Nervous Man Utd fan, very Jekyll and hyde of late. All the goals Sevilla scored in the 2 leg ties were defensive blunders. Now we have potentially Lindelof and Shaw as CBs today.

If we don't win so be it Brighton are a very good team, but want more fight than the last losses. No contest against Liverpool, Newcastle and Sevilla.

Nah there are massive areas which have been closed.
If it had been at a neutral ground like Villa or Old Trafford it would have been a sellout. Asking that volume of fans to make a 4-5 hour drive down south is just silly.

I don’t understand the semi final being played at Wembley. The only time you should play at Wembley is for your country or a cup final.

Agreed but it isnt a good luck for City or Wembley tbh. Why not just slash the price of the tickets or well give them to local charities/schools etc.

For a club to be smashing revenue numbers you'd think they'd have enough fans to sell it out or at least get close to selling it.

Excitement levels are through the roof! Albion’s odds have shortened since I last looked, not a fan of that.

Up in Borough market before trying to brave the Wembley crowds.

and rightly so.

You got some amazing players

They most probably have another 1 billion like those paid fans in Qatar. Fact is there are bigger clubs in the Championship and even League 1 than City.
Like who?

Who in the Championship has average attendance figures of over 50,000?

Will they ever get as many fans as United, not in our lifetimes but if they keep winning more and more kids will start supporting them. The same reason there are so many 20 something year old united supporters now and so many 40-50 year old Liverpool fans. I notice a lot of my sons friends are City fans. Only natural and will grow their fan base but it's not instant.

Wembleys a much easier ground for United fans to get than city fans.

+1, especially after our performance at Villa.

It depends which team turns up. If they play the way we know they can, we should be able to win it, especially at home.

But the Debbie Downer in me expects Harry Kane or Son to do their usual and nick it.
