Greenlizard0 PL & FA Cup SF Football Thread ** spoilers ** [21st - 23rd April 2023]

2 months of "Why cant we have it up north" coming up.

Also this could be to stop City winning the double and setting them up for the treble. Feel for Brighton but its the final we all wanted surely...

The semis should be around the country.

Final should be wembley.

Kind of gutted that Bright didn’t make it but yeh a manchester derby for the final is pretty good. United chance to actually make a dent against City. Doubt they will though both clubs doing the double would be so ironic. City winning the two biggest and Utd the two smaller.

Even if we do lose in the final, great first season for ETH to reach two finals and win at least one of them.
Sevilla game aside, it seems a very good season unfortunately. Sevilla are just weirdos in europe and as good as the Liverpool result was it won't change league outcome and never impacted manu going forwarded

Sevilla have Europa League plot armour it's the only explanation.

Team still doesn't have that immortal mentality that is needed to be a truly top side. Back in the day United would win a game before even stepping out on the pitch. We have been diabolical away all season. We have only lost twice at home all season. Once to Brighton and once to Sociedad due to a dodgy handball penalty.

Jolinton only 3 goals away from double figures.

His first touch plucking that ball out of the air for his goal was sublime.

Would love to go back in the transfer thread and find all the posts mocking the Isak transfer hah

Most important thing is that with our fit first XI we do play as good a football as any team in Europe.

But we are lacking squad depth and a club captain that inspires confidence and solidity....we're very fragile, and Fernandes aside, lacking leadership across the team.

Really hope Villa can grab Europe off Tottenham now, just have to keep Liverpool and Brighton at bay. To be honest I wouldn't be too peeved if either pipped it off us, just so long as Spurs don't get there. They absolutely don't deserve it this season.

I’ve never been critical of Isak. Plenty of my quotes on message boards berating how bad joe Linton is though! Very happy that him and Howes coaching are proving me very wrong.

I love people picking out the random players that go from rubbish to brilliant as proof of their ability to spot talent. Same as the people who said it was crazy to even consider selling Rashford after last season.

For every player than turns it around massively there are 5 that disappear because they don’t cut it.

Antony has been playing much better lately but the criticisms of him earlier in the season were 100% valid and correct at the time.
