Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [19th - 21st October 2024]

Knew this would be a tough watch after seeing the XI, now its gonna have to be a proper Mourinho job.

Didn't think they'd overturn it but not much to argue against there.

I'm pretty sure he'd have got across. Bit of a stretch to call it a clear goalscoring opportunity I think.
Thats why i thought they'd stick with the yellow, no idea what makes that a clear goalscoring opportunity or a mistake from the ref worthy of overturning the on-field decision.

VAR is Gillet who is a Liverpool fan though..... ;)

It was definitely not a clear and obvious error which is what I thought the remit for intervention was.

Im not sure if clear and obvious is the standard for foul by last man. No question he bought the player down intentionally, if the player was onside and Saliba is last man then it has to be red. I don’t think there is any interpretation needed further as the ref does not have the best view to judge last man compared to overhead cameras.
