Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [1st - 12th February 2025]

Just looking at the issues I've seen today, in terms of the players:

Onana - been poor.

Maguire - been poor.

No proper striker - can't really function without one...

Garnacho isn't a #10.

Dalot and Mazraoui as usual offered nothing from the wide positions and regularly end up being exposed defensively.

Mainoo started well and faded rapidly.

There's a general lack of energy/effort, the team just really seem to struggle at home in particular. Amad is the only attacking player who looks like making anything happen, and he can't do it alone.

Amorim is out of his depth. These players should be beating Palace. I try to kid myself and thinking there is some sort of method and it will come but I fail to see it.

ETH was out of his depth, so was Mourinho, LvG... etc.

Amorim has to be given some time to do things, he was never going to walk into this club, with these players, set up a 3421 and things will be great. Impossible.

Funnily enough I think our best period was under Solskjaer, maybe that's just rose tinted glasses...

I don't like a manager that has a "system". All it signals is stubbornness. Should be getting the basics locked down and then identifying the weakness of the opposition and exploiting them while negating their strengths. Palace have done that to United today and more than deserve the win.

11 corner to 0 for United - Never looked like scoring once from a corner...
