I've been away most of the weekend and only managed to catch the last 10 minutes ( :p). I'll be back a little later to have a good read of what I'm expecting to be a phenomenal thread.

just back from the match, and for the first in a long time I’m absolutely raging at a performance on and off the pitch, we absolutely beat ourselves today throwing away 3 points, we were pedestrian in the second half and then went backwards when we took off Tonali and Gordon. Champions League is going to be a disaster if we dont start finishing off teams we’re dominating. The worst thing about tonight is the gloating that’s bound to be coming from old Turkey teeth.

Fine margins. Almiron's shot goes in vs hitting the post and its a long way back. Maybe we can be slightly critical of Newcastle in the last third. Have they really got a goalscorer? Can Isak get 25 goals? I wouldn't be panicking as a lot of what they did was good. Howe perhaps ruing the changes he made but it was a frantic pace so players need to be protected. Fair play to Liverpool for doing the perfect smash and grab and not sulking. Overall a good game to watch from what look like genuine top 4 contenders.

I agree to a point but we got countered from our own corner. That's not acceptable. Winning the ball high up is fine but you should never be exposed like that after two minutes of a the game. Complete naivety from the team/manager. The second was just weak defending.
