Not sure what opponents expect... we've got most of our first team missing with none of our first choice or second choice left side fit to start. We played a no10 at RWB, a no6 at LWB and one of our three first choice CMs playing with a 19 year old making his first start for us in the middle. We're down to bare bones and don't really have the luxury of trying to beat Arsenal by playing attractive football with so many unavailable. Not sure how we can play like Stoke when both of our strikers are five foot nothing...That was an awful watch. Like Pulis at Stoke. 10 man defence with the occasional long ball does not make for a good game. We made hard work of it anyway but good to get the 3 points. Not many do there. Nice to see Newcastle fans being as unbearable as usual.
I was bored for 90 minutes. Did you enjoy it? It is spectator sport after all. You might have got something out the game if you were a bit more progressive. Not sure what opponents expect... we've got most of our first team missing with none of our first choice or second choice left side fit to start. Thought we did relatively well to restrict you lot to sod all in the second half until the last minute whilst having those two shots cleared off the line at the other end.
Looking forward to January when hopefully a few will come back from injury and we can add to the squad.
It was a bit of a nothing match, but when you're totally depleted trying to be progressive is a death sentence. Disappointed to lose it that way... but I think people still forget we're brentford, our back five contained one player who cost more than £3m. Tough to compete with £100m players...I was bored for 90 minutes. Did you enjoy it? It is spectator sport after all. You might have got something out the game if you were a bit more progressive.
