There is nothing in stats to suggest you sacrifice control when playing Bruno, it's just become the latest popular thing to regurgitate. His pass completion stats are very similar to De Bruyne's, do City sacrifice control when he plays? And that is with one team playing possession football and the other playing transitional football.

Plenty of people have been saying this for a few years now... its nothing new. And passing stats don't tell the whole story. You can pass to someone in a completely pointless place where they are guaranteed to lose the ball and thats still a completed pass.

I don't know how you can have been watching us play for the past 4 years and think that Bruno gives us any control in the middle of the pitch.

The lack of control comes from the mess behind him. We're currently relying on an 18 year old kid as our first choice because our options are so poor. Casemiro was good last season but he's not a capable passer. Who else do you want to talk about Fred? McT? Couple that with AWB who is really poor at playing out from the back and it's no wonder we're lacking control. Especially when Martinez and Shaw, our best players on the ball have both had long term injuries.

So at no point over the past 4 years have we had a better set of midfielders than most of the teams in the league? We have been overrun, outplayed and outgunned by so so many teams over the last 4 years. Is it a surprise that our best periods with Bruno in the team were when we were trying to play off the back foot. ie. you don't control the midfield and you look to quickly transition straight through to the attack?

We regularly dominated possession under Ole, not sure why you're including his time. Under ETH he says he doesn't want to play possession football so we've played differently, our possession figures have been dropping since then. Under Ole we had the 5th highest possession twice , that was with flipping McFred, neither who are renowned for being composed passers.

This season is the worst I can remember. We continually lose the same goals. Played through. It's easy for other teams and happened from the first match of the season. We also can't hold onto leads, regularly concede from corners and straight after half time. All of which can be considered tactical . So either they aint doing as they are told or the message ain't clear. We were a better team with McFred - statistically, even though they were crap. Given the injuries ten Hag should have looked to shore up the midfield but he continually played Fernandes and then McSauce as an attacking player and Bruno is not a disciplined player - he is a game breaker and he's seldom done that this season.

Wrong to pin it all on one player and I think the petulance card is over played but he's the captain and needs to be the manager on the pitch.
Hopefully he turns it on tonight.

That is not at all what a captain is lol. You think he's going to disobey ETH and someone instruct everyone how they should play instead?

This season has been a mess tactically, what is difficult to know is how much of the problem is injuries, the wrong personnel, poor tactics, poor coaching, players not following instructions etc.
