this was such a simple decision, he picked a young player in form instead of experience with Tierney.

I'd always go with the better player. Tavares has potential but no composure in the final third. He shouldn't have been playing.

I don't think we even need top 4 now we have wildcards. Although Barcelona and Juve are above us and having a mare of a season.

Oh well, Everton in a few days - winnable game there if they don’t sack Rafa before then. I don’t think we’ll have enough for 4th this season but should hopefully stay in/around that pack which is probably slightly better than predicted I suppose. Could do with the older players helping carry the younger ones along more though, it’s been the other way round lately.

City and Liverpool would have battered either of us tonight. We have been better over the past 3 games than the previous 4 or 5 but we are still really poor and rudderless.
